A journey from Nottingham to Burgh-le-Marsh, to fish Sycamore Lakes.
After asking me few question about the Lakes, Jake decide to make the trip, and fish The Roadside Lake.
Using the tree as a back ground and a carpet of stunning colourfull leaves, these are few of the 11 carp that he caught on the day.
Solid pva bags cast to the margins, munch nut mix wafters with micro pellet, rig was a blow back rig, made up of carpers essentials terminal tackle, did the trick.
Thankyou Jake for showing us some amazing photos and for briging the Autumn colours to us.
The Lakes are fishing so good at the moment, and with the mild weather, the fish are feeding from early morning to late afternoon.
You can fish the lakes every day of the week from 6am until dusk.
Takle shop 10am to 12pm.
The Lakes Bar restaurant opens Tuesday to Sundays, were you can get a coffees, takeway pizzas or anything from the bar menu.

A misty morning at Sycamore Lakes, and Pete Briggs had a good feeling about his fishing. 6am and he’s already setting up his bivy, not long after that he hooked his first 14.12lb common carp, right on the margins on a double 15mm tiger nut flavour boilie.
Pete ended up with 5 doubles.
Mark Henson three pegs away also had 8 carp, all in the morning.
At the other side of the lake, Hugh Gordon from Lincoln fishing with his Dad also had a very good session catching 5 doubles mainly in the afternoon, all on white fruit boilies and pellets.
In the next couple of months the specimen lake will start producing more fish than through the whole summer, if you want to get any 20lb this is the time.
The lakes open seven days a week, for residents and non residents. 6am until Dusk.

Cousins Lucas and Oliver, from Corby, Northamptonshire heard about the Specimen Lake at Sycamore Lakes Park while on holiday in Skegness, so they decided to pay a visit.
They found a nice peg under the trees and started fishing using 2mm pelllets in a PVA mesh bag and wafter fished on a hair rig.
The results: 18lb Mirror Carp, and 2 other double figures to follow!!!
Lucas and Oliver will soon have to head back home to Corby, but they are already looking forward to visit Sycamore Lakes again soon.

So yes, the weather has been terrible this year so far, and it will get better soon. But in the meantime "lets go Fishing"
That was Jo Carter attitude, and she was so pleased to get this 12lb linear carp, personal best.
If you wanted to come fishing for few days, you can stay in the touring site nex to the Lakes, or you can chose one of our waterside lodges.
The lakes are open 7 days a week for day tickets, 6am until dusk.
We collect the tickets on the bank or you can pay by card on the Tackle shop. Shop open from 9am until 5pm.

Sweetcorn and maggots, that is all you need, said Les Mitchel from Alford.
His Grandson also enjoyed catching some of the Rudd.
The Specimen and Roadside lakes are full of Rudd, live bait is the best, and you can get them fresh from our tackle shop everyday of the week. The lakes open from 6am until dusk, 7 days a week, Tackle shop and Reception from 9am.

On a beautiful sunny day, Josh local angler from Skegness with his son Oliver, decided to try the Roadside Lake at Sycamore Lakes.
Some halibut pellets did the trick, they caught 11 carp ranging from 6lb to 12lb, nothing big but very enjoyable day. These are some of the fish they caught.
There is some carp in the Roadside lake over 20lb now.
Sycamore Lakes opens 7 days a week 6am until Dusk, for day tickets. You can go straight to the lakes, we collect the tickets on the bank. Tackle shop opens from 9am.
