🥳 Wow its a whole 3 years since we welcomed our first guests to Curlew Cottage, Thorpe St Peter. We can't believe where the time has gone but love welcoming wonderful guests.

Join us at Tattershall Castle this coming Bank Holiday weekend – Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th, and Monday 26th August - and experience living history with the Plantagenet Medieval Society.

Marvel at the pomp and pageantry of a knight's tournament, complete with medieval minstrels, dancing, and sword-to-sword combat in the arena.

Have a go with a bow, become a squire, meet the knights, and learn about their armour. Gates open at 10.30am, with last entry at 3.30pm and re-enactment events and activities taking place from 11am and throughout the day.

Normal entrance fees apply (promotional vouchers may not be valid over the Bank Holiday – be sure to check the small print) and National Trust members get in for free. We look forward to seeing you there!’

Another hidden gem of Skegness is The Village :: Church Farm :: Skegness, it is a lovely little museum of local Lincolnshire heritage.

Their cafe serves nice tea/coffee and cake and there’s lots to see and do, so is well worth a visit.

This will take you to a Web page that has kindly been allocated to the Alford 1940's weekend by Alford town council website, the page displays the visitor map as well as other useful event details and history. The Live entertainment schedule is also there. This webpage is kindly hosted and provided by Alford Town Council. The QR code will be displayed in shop windows around the town. So on the weekend of the event you can scan it and access the visitor and carpark maps. Please follow the Alford 1940s page for live updates though.
