What's Happening in Skipton & Settle this weekend!
Flores De Chevalerie at Skipton Castle. This reanactment brings the 13th Century medieval tournament to life, featuring genuine competitive combat combined with historical authenticity. A great day out for the family, and you can explore the castle and it's grounds!
Settle Victoria Hall Beer Festival. A three-day festival celebrating the very best in local and national beers, with a hand-picked selection on tap all weekend. All proceeds support the running and maintenance of Victoria Hall, so don’t miss the chance to spend a weekend sipping beer in the sunshine, in aid of a good cause.
Settle Artisan Market. A Small market with individual traders selling unique products. You can visit on the 11 Aug 2024, between 10:00 – 16:00 at Market Place in Settle!
Summer Makers Fair at Gargrave Village Hall on Saturday 10th August, 10 am till 3pm to showcase the work of 27 local artists and makers. The Craven area has long been known for its heritage skills, many of which have been passed down the generations or combined with modern techniques to create an eclectic mix of styles. They include Watercolour, Ceramics, Mixed media artworks, Papercrafts, Jesmonite and resin art, Polymer Clay, Gemstone Jewellery, Knitwear, Kite Making, Textile Art, Floristry, Crochet, Leathercraft and fused glass art. The café will be serving up light refreshments throughout the event to raise money for the Gargrave and Malhamdale Community Library.
Gather the family and head to the lakeside at The Coniston for a fun day for all the family on Sunday! There will be alpacas visiting for you to enjoy along with hook a duck, crazy golf and giant games all for just £10 per child and £2 per adult (under 1's go free!). There'll also be bouncy castles, swing boats, ring the bell and a summer BBQ and Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream available to purchase on the day. Take a stroll around the lake and watch the swans and ducks along with lots of other wildlife you can spot around the 1400 acre estate.
