“Well, where do we start, great welcome, beautiful flat, very clean and had everything we could have wanted. As a base to explore the area there can be none to better this one. The front cab of a class 37, that's gotta be worth a day trip just to see that and the working signal lever frame was the added bonus to me. How many people in the UK were sleeping in comfy beds on a live railway station between the tracks? I tried to stay awake to listen to the freights coming through late at night but I was too comfortable.”

The newly installed lever frame was the original from Giggleswick, dating from 1900 gives you the opportunity to practice until your heart is content.

We've got to share a really good idea one of our recent guests had ahead of their stay at The Yorkshire Sleeper.

They made contact in advance of arriving and ordered a hamper from The Yorkshire Pantry to be waiting for them.

It included jams, chutneys, crisps, nuts, biscuits and chocolate - the perfect accompaniment for a self-catering holiday.
