We had a wonderful time at the Harvest Festival today.

We’re grateful to live in an area where farming and fishing are still very much a way of life, and thankful for everyone who works in our local bakery (Bothams Sleights), butcher (Radfords Butchers) and corner shop for keeping the village well fed. Don’t forget to pay them a visit during your stay.

Today we attended the parish Blessing of the Boats service at the Whitby RNLI lifeboat station.

Ryan, one of the RNLI volunteers, kindly offered to show our children around the station. They loved trying on the safety equipment and hearing about all of the clever gadgets in the boats.
