Our dog friendly cottages come with beds, bowls, blankets and even biscuits for our four-legged friends. We have a large dog exercise paddock, and footpaths for walking from the door. The North Devon beaches are some of the most dog-friendly and accessible in the UK, and Exmoor is perfect for country walks with stunning scenery. Most of our local pubs are dog-friendly – many even provide doggy ice-cream!

Some great feedback from our Air B n B guests in Goose Cottage this week:

We have just returned from a week stay in goose cottage at tangled bank holidays. It was home away from home and perfect for our party of 5 plus our dog. It was a great base for us to return to after a day of exploring Devon. Zoe and Steve are fab hosts and have such a great spot. Its so peaceful all day. There's a great feel to the place and the animals are a great bonus. They really went above and beyond especially for my niece who asked them lots of questions about the horses. We will definitely be returning and i would recommend a stay at Tangled Bank.

🌟 New evening event on sale now! We are delighted to announce this exciting event coming soon - In The Night Sky. Jo and Pete Richardson, founders of the Space Detectives astronomers team, will take us on a journey to the stars, learning about planets, constellations and galaxies along the way. The evening also includes a very special VR headset experience and, if the skies are clear, telescope viewing in the gardens. A delicious, warming supper of stew and dumplings is also included (vegan and vegetarian options available).

Last night we were lucky enough to see our resident barn owl flying over the dog field and landing on the fence post. Unfortunately it was too dark for me to get a photo, but here's one taken by our camera trap a couple of years ago, and another of the tawny owl who we hear every evening but rarely get to see!

Great find in Devon
Left on Aug 8, 2024 for a stay in Aug 2024
Just returned from a lovely week spent at Pheasant Cottage. The cottage was very well decorated and clean, and the setting is quiet and pretty. It has everything you would expect and more, from a fully kitted out kitchen to the firepit and bbq outside. Our kids loved the animals and the playbarn and it's a great base to explore North Devon. We spent a lovely couple of sunset hours in the hot tub and there's a nice walk to the local pub, The Grove Inn, over fields (would highly recommend the Sunday lunch). Overall though, the owners really do make this place - they can't do enough for you. Everything from fresh eggs in the morning to a goodbye present of local apple juice. Highly recommend!
