Outer Hebrides Pairs Championship 2023

The 36 hole competition will take place over the famous Askernish Golf Course on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of June.

The format is a non-qualifying Mixed Betterball Stableford on the Saturday and a combined pairs Stableford score on the Sunday.

An open competition with members and visitors welcome to enter a team that can be all male, all female or mixed.

There will be daily prizes in addition to overall prizes.

£40 per player for members
£60 per player for visitors

As the Askernish Open weekend in August is fully booked, we are excited to announce the Outer Hebrides Pairs Championship has been added to our calendar for 2022!

Another opportunity to play an Open competition at Askernish this year. The 36 hole competition will take place over the famous Askernish Golf Course on Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th of June.

200 hundred years ago today, “Old” Tom Morris was born into a working class family in St Andrews. The “grand old man of golf” will never be forgotten on the Island of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. In 1891 Old Tom made the journey to South Uist where he laid out a golf course on part of Askernish farm, close to the village of Lochboisdale. This golf course has been through some turbulent times throughout its 130 year history. Now ranked 49th best Scottish golf course, Askernish is a bucket list course for many golf enthusiasts.
