We are proud to present the trailer for our new film.
As part of our two year project with The United Voices of African Associations - TUVAA
This will premier at Hangar Farm Arts Centre, Totton.
The Chameleon and the Fly tells the tale of the emissaries sent from King Lobengula, king of the Northern Ndebele people of Matabeleland in what is now Zimbabwe.
Threatened by the expansion of the African mining interests of Cecil Rhodes and his compatriots, King Lobengula reached out to Queen Victoria in the hope that she might intervene on behalf of the Ndebele people.
In 1889 the ship The Moor landed in Southampton with the king’s representatives, Mshete and Babayane on board.
As well as our premiere we will also be using the opportunity to show two other films we have created on the big screen - The Sad Tale of Richard Parker and 6 Characters in Search of a History.
3 Local History films for just £5. Book your tickets at
