Racing yachts together with novice sailors made for a cracking day on the water when had their first company regatta with Marine Events on Tuesday.
Tricky winds and close racing kept everyone on their toes before enjoying a cold beer at the marina before heading home.

Exciting news, the Marine Events 2024 season (our 23rd) has been boosted by the arrival of two stunning new boats to our fleet.
Our popular Hanse 548 (unfortunately sold) has been replaced and upgraded by the stunning Hanse 588, now one of the largest sailing yachts available for charter in the Solent.

Amazing evening charter last night with 3 luxury powerboats and 30 guests, providing a late night 'taxi service' for guests after their dinner at The Hut in Colwell Bay.
A few bottles of Dom Perignon helped as we 'night cruised' back to The Harbour Hotel in Ocean village.

Merapar and their amazing team of staff and clients came back to the Solent to do battle on the water for a second year.
Most of the crew were novice sailors, but this didn't stop the competitive spirits from showing.
Perfect weather and some close racing got everyone talking about next year!

We call this type of day 'Champagne Sailing' blue skies, strong winds, (from the right direction) flat water and guests onboard from Turley and Keygrove who have been sailing every year with Marine Events for over 20 years.

Amazing day on the water with Goldman Sachs on their 6th annual staff and client yacht regatta.
Sun, blue sky and a perfect 12-14 knot Westerley made it a cracking event.

They say, if you pay peanuts... you get monkeys, well we don't pay peanuts, but still seem to get monkeys!

Wind, wind and a bit more wind for our regatta day on Friday.
Add to that some glorious sunshine and some smiley happy faces from the team at Merapar and we had our selves a cracking days racing on their first...hopefully annual regatta.
Big thanks to alexborland for making it happen.
Most of the guests from Merapar were novice non sailors, trying this amazing sport for the first time, why not try it with your own staff.

Superb couple of days charter on the event with Prometheus Sailing, thanks to Simon Boulding for organising a faultless event as always.
Superb weather, a beautiful boat and an awesome team from We Are Grayce who made the two days feel like a holiday of our own.

Fantastic start to the 2022 season with some April Sun, 'Sabre' our Princess S66 has been hosting our first guests of the season with a blast to 'The Hut' at Colwell Bay, with a short detour to Bucklers Hard on the Beauliea River and Allum Bay on the West of the Isle of wight.

We do enjoy getting onto the water on Catamarans and we even offer training weekends to people who are already sailors and interested in chartering a Cat on their next holiday (these are very popular in the Caribbean)

As well as sailing yachts and powerboats we also have fun on RIBS - these are great for team treasure hunts or in addition to one of the larger boats.
