All you need to make the coloured rice, is rice, vinegar, food colouring, and a zip lock bag ✅

🩵🧡 SENSORY PLAY IDEAS!🩵🧡

Playing with your baby doesn't need to involve much!
A simple ball rolled over the body can provide lots of fun and stimulation for your little one.

When babies follow a moving object across their field of vision or reach across with the right hand to something on their left side, they cross their midline.
This is an imaginary line down your baby's middle, separating the left from the right side.
Crossing this line coordinates both sides of the brain, helping your baby to use opposite sides of their body in a controlled way.

Have a go at playing with a ball at home and watch your baby use their eyes, arms and hands to coordinate their movements.

🎄Christmas is coming! 🎄 HOWEVER my children have put at the decs in one area on the tree 🙈😂 I mean it looks very magical and sparkly… in one section…. To move them and spread them around slyly or to leave it they way they want? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

It's tempting to think that learning for our children doesn't really start until they are walking, talking or even going to school, but, did you know that your little one's brain development begins before they are even born?!

Your baby’s brain is not yet fully developed at birth though, and while it's very active throughout childhood, changing and developing on a daily basis, it's in the first months and years of life that the connections in your baby's brain are developing at the fastest pace, setting them up for all the future learning they'll do.

I could tell you about the things we will do each week, but what I'm going to do is tell you about the more important things! Joining a baby group and meeting new friends with babies too is a life line in the early days and months of parenthood. It made the world of difference to me and I see it making the world of difference to many others coming along to Tots Play and doing this course too. Each week we have time to chat, share what's challenging and what we are winning at (that may be managing a cup of tea before it cold this week!) and we also will learn lots of helpful tips to care for and promote your babies development. Do you feel like you're always on the go? Getting to the end of a busy day and thinking, where did that time go?

As parents we always have a lot on our plates. On top of trying to raise our children and educate them, the stress of work, family issues and current events, many of us are dealing with mental health struggles like anxiety, depression and burnout. Then there’s the never-ending to-do list from food shopping to having to be organise school runs, clubs, arranging playdates to making sure everyone has the clean clothes they want.

With so much going on, it’s hardly a surprise that many parents struggle to be present with their children! 🥰

Coming along to a baby class will give you that focused time with your little one, away from where the dishes are sitting there, or the laundry pile waiting to be put away, or the beds that need changing upstairs. You can sit with your child and enjoy time together, laughing learning and playing, and most importantly having quality bonding time together where you and your little one are just focused on each other.
