The road surface is unaltered by liquids and/or powders leaving you clean and dry, and the courses are not cancelled due to rain! WHO WILL BE TEACHING ME? Fully trained, certificated trainers, your trainer will have learnt from trainers based in Sweden, the majority of our trainers would have attended Winter Driving Courses in Scandinavia. With the trainer alongside you at all times you can drive
with confidence as you learn new skills. Your course will be tailored to your personal learning, and your trainers make sure you enjoy yourself too .Our family run business has supplied extreme weather driving experiences in th U.K for the past 25 years. HOW LONG DOES THE COURSE LAST? A course with three drivers will last around 3 hours. You will spend approximately 45 minutes each driving which allows you to learn from the others as well as your own performance. It is like any other ‘skid control tuition’, You will receive 1:1 personalised training while you are behind the wheel plus the chance to learn from other drivers' mistakes. WHEN & WHERE ARE THE COURSES? Like the tuition, courses can be arranged to suit the drivers. You tell us when you are available (give us three possible dates) and we will accommodate you! Courses are held, exclusively, at the Millbrook Proving Ground, which is one of Europe's leading locations for the development and demonstration of every type of land vehicle, from motorcycles and passenger cars to heavy commercial, military and off-road vehicles. We can arrange, at an extra reasonable cost, overnight accommodation, if required. WHAT WILL I BE DOING? Your course is a nationally recognised Level 2 course covering:
The correct attitude when driving in bad weather. Starting, steering, and stopping safely in snow and ice. Preventing front and rear wheel skids. Why greater braking distances are needed in bad weather. How to brake and swerve on a slippery surface. How to use ABS safely and effectively. The daunting "downhill on ice". Theory and practice are mixed and you drive in all road conditions from "dry", “wet” to "ice and snow" without leaving the safety of the training centre! The course is terrific fun, and gives you real skills to help you stay out of trouble. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? Due to the exclusive location of our training area we have to charge for use of vehicle over a 4 hour period, regardless of the amount of attendees. Therefore, it will cost one attendee a lot more than, if three share the cost and the more attendees the more the discount! One driver - £350.00 per driver (exec VAT), Two drivers - £150.00 per driver (exec VAT), Three or more drivers - Just £99.00 per driver! (Exec VAT)
NB: It may be possible to run two courses simultaneously; your trainer ratio will remain the same, however, the course may last a little longer, approximately 3.5 hours.
