The beauty of letting your garden 'just be' over winter.

I don't cut back most plants after their summer shindig at home, their glitz and glamour continues until late winter/early spring 😄

Many of you know I also work as a Gardener alongside running Blue Barn. Today I had the pleasure of attending a study day at Great Dixter Gardens led by Head Gardener Fergus Garrett; it was a great, informative day and I look forward to utilising skills and knowledge gained at Blue Barn, home, and the gardens in which I work 💗

Whilst we don't serve breakfast at Blue Barn, the kitchen is fully equipped so you can whip up these apple and cinnamon pancakes for breakfast, using fresh free-range eggs from our hens that we leave for guests in there 😘

Orrrrr..... you could head out to a wonderful array of local eateries for breakfast, many within walking distance 🌅

Today we rounded up the sheeps, with our little helpers Finley and Daisy (nephew and niece, teaching them young)!

Everyone was wormed, health checked and had a pedicure.

The ewes were separated off as it is already that time of year again.... the shetland ram is coming next Wednesday 😄 - Vicozero Bielsa and he is a beauty 😍

On Sunday morning we took a sunny walk over to Manor Farm Bleasby for breakfast via footpaths with the hound.

They have a lovely cafe serving breakfast and lunch, with additional seating outdoors in their beautiful garden.

You can get there in 1.7 miles by foot or take many other longer routes 😊

This one's a bit special. We had the pleasure of hosting Ellie and Edd at Blue Barn for their wedding stay! I (Kate) have known Ellie since we were 4/5 years old, Ellie also did our wedding flowers in 2018 and she is the talent behind Blue Barn's curtains and blinds.
