Following prestigious jobs with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra respectively, Anna and Julia now have busy freelance careers working with many of the UK's top
orchestras. Anna and Julia have worked with many famous names, including Kathryn Jenkins, Alfie Boe, Luciano Pavarotti, Lesley Garrett, Bryn Terfel, Sir Paul McCartney, Sarah Brightman, Michael Ball and Bill Bailey, and have played at events as varied as the Official Hong Kong handover Ceremony and the Loo of the Year Awards! A unique collaboration of two of the UK's finest oboists, the versatile Gabriel's Oboes are available to play at church weddings, civil ceremonies and partnerships, as well as at celebrations and corporate events. Based in the North of England, our unique sound is particularly suitable for ceremonies and the versatility of the musicians means that we also provide music suitable for receptions and functions. With music from Bach to Busted, Elgar to Elbow, our broad repertoire can help to give your special occasion a magical touch. We use our own keyboard player although for church services we are happy to work with the resident church organist, and can also help your joyous choir of guests by embellishing your favourite hymns.
