This cottage was just lovely!! . Everything you needed to have a happy, relaxed holiday. A place to certainly unwind in comfort. Everything was in excellent condition with lots of added extra’s especially for the four legged guests. Bowls , treats, lead if you needed. Even an hot and cold outside tap to clean the doggy paws.. the enclosures garden was a bonus too. We will be back it was that good ..

I can honestly say this is one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in. Lovely location with a great pub just up the road - easy to get to the coast and Lincoln. The cottage is beautiful and Julian the owner seems to have thought of everything you might need for a holiday. Dogs are well catered for - dog bowls and even a shower with cold and warm water! There was loads of information available including details of walks from the cottage. Julian was really helpful too giving us ideas of where to go. Could not fault this cottage - absolutely fantastic.

Bourne’s Homestead is such a lovely, calm place to stay surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of local walks. There are some lovely considerate touches - a huge map of the area, dog treats in the Welcome pack, large umbrellas in the hall and a very attentive host with a lot of local information. Accommodation was very clean, fixtures and fittings very good and comfortable beds. An excellent location and we so enjoyed our first visit to Lincolnshire. Worth every penny.

We were delighted with our stay at Bourne’s Homestead! We were a family of 5 and the accommodation was so welcoming, beautifully decorated and it had plenty of space for all of us. We can’t fault any aspect of our stay really, the house is well equipped, clean and the surrounding area is so peaceful and well kept. Near to the property there is a pub and a small cafe. We visited the pub two nights in a row since the food was so good and it’s less than 10mins walk. Our host Julian was so friendly, stopping to say hi to us on a number of occasions while he was out with his dog. Julian is approachable and knowledgeable and he has put so much thought and care into this property. You really must come and stay!

The Bourne Homestead was lovely, clean and very well equipped. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet in a beautiful rural setting even though there is a main road only minutes away. The only minor thing was having to drive to Horncastle for provisions a local shop would be nice We all enjoyed out stay which came to end far to quickly

What an absolutely fabulous place! The owner has literally thought of everything. This is an exceptionally well-designed, well-built, well-equipped, stylish and beautifully furnished property. It's in a great location for exploring local footpaths, the Lincolnshire Wolds, the coast, or indeed the rest of the county, including Lincoln itself (which is only a 45 minute drive away). Plus, at the end of the day, you can return to this peaceful sanctuary, to relax and enjoy the view as the sun sets across the fields to the disused windmill, plus the wonderful sight of local wildlife (we saw an owl fly past almost daily, and some muntjac deer too). The bedrooms are spacious, and the huge open plan kitchen/dining/living area really makes the most of its situation with huge windows letting in the light and views. There's more than enough furniture for every purpose you can think of - dining, lounging, and outdoor seating on the terrace. But it's the little details that make this place extra special too - from every kitchen implement that you could ever need! to plenty of coat hooks in the entrance hall, to an abundance of local information, maps, and games - which all make it feel like a home-away-from-home.
