Magical countryside, tinged with sparkling hoar frost, beautiful empty coast, nature reserves, a National Landscape and a National Park, all under our huge, never-ending skies. Winter is a wonderful time to explore Norfolk, when you feel as if you’ve almost got the county to yourself.✨
Afterwards find a welcoming pub with a roaring fire for a well-earned pint and a hearty meal, or a friendly café for a warming mug of hot chocolate and piece of cake.
And don’t forget, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! 🦌

Not too sure where to visit, these are just a few places that are within a ten mile radius of the chalet.

St Benets Abbey - In the 18th century, a windmill was built inside the ruined gatehouse, creating the distinctive Broads site which remains today. Post code: NR29 5NU
How Hill - The thatched Edwardian cottage was built at the turn of the 20th century where it sits on top of the hill overlooking its beautiful gardens, some of the Broads' historic windmills, as well as the sweeping River Ant. Post code: NR29 5PG
Thurne Mill - The striking 200-year-old white working mill has become a firm landmark of the Broads. Post code: NR29 3BU
Hickling Broad - The largest of the Broads, Hickling is a haven for wildlife and is one of the few places where you might see bittern, swallowtail butterflies and otters. Post code: NR12 0BW
Hoveton Hall Gardens - The estate's 15 acres of well-maintained and curated flora and fauna are well-loved by locals and visitors alike. Post code: NR12 8RJ

If you love live folk music, then seeing this folk-rock band is a must to see "Feast of Fiddles".

The band is set to take to the Cromer Pier on April 25 (Thursday), before the main festival, Folk on the Pier, commences in May.

Folk on the Pier is now entering its twenty-sixth year.

Fondly known as ‘the best gig on the North Sea, the event attracts a plethora of well-known and up-and-coming folk, folk-rock, and acoustic artists from across the UK.
