Shooting stylized fashion bride & groom portrait images is my signature look for couples who appreciate photography as an art form. My photographic career began shooting fashion in 1988 for various collections and titles. After some years I then transferred to shooting natural history and had a long and distinguished career shooting marine & wildlife for clients including
National Geographic and

Discovery. Today I am an internationally acclaimed photographer shooting weddings, bar-batmitzvah’s and model lookbooks, I have come full circle.

Couples often ask, how long does it take to shoot the bride & groom portraits ?

I love to shoot dramatic fashion-inspired bride & groom portraits. This Bollywood-inspired bride & groom portrait image was shot in 5 minuets.

When the wedding party were eating their main course, I pre-set up a camera and an off-camera studio strobe in a softbox on a monopod, then dialed in my exposure & flash settings.

When the bride & groom had eaten their main course we did a “sneak out”.

With an assistant holding the studio strobe & softbox in position, I shot this image and we were back in the reception room in no time at all.

I dislike shooting family portraits for more than 45 minutes on your wedding day, and I bet most couples agree.

Why ?
When you shoot family portraits forever & ever, you stand around getting bored & tired.

The bride & groom miss out on the reception drinks, canapes and mingling with their friends & family.
This is such an important and often over-looked part of the day for the bride & groom.

So how do you shoot a big portrait list quickly & efficiently, have a pre-approved portrait list, stick to it, and only shoot the last-minute add-ons at the end.

When shooting be confident, assertive & above funny at all times keep the energy up & have lots of fun after all it's your wedding day.
