As our Christmas tree sales come to an end, we at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We close early on Christmas eve but will be open again on the 27th so join us then and enjoy a walk in the forest.
Did you catch us on BBC Breakfast on Thursday morning? Our waterfall was included as part of a live interview to help spread awareness about the disturbance human activity can cause to wildlife. A very important message and so good to see The Lodge getting its 5 minutes of fame.
We had a little acrobat down at The Red Squirrel Hide this morning. The best time to catch the red squirrels in action is early in the morning 🐿️ so if you can get out of bed early enough it’s well worth a wander 🚶♀️🚶♂️
The red squirrel hide was a hive of activity this morning…🐿️
Drive carefully if you are coming to The Lodge as we have had some unusual pedestrians on the road.
...and the birds are getting some last minute shopping done.
The Little Fawn waterfall is rushing home for Christmas
Trees, lochs and thistles ❤️
Today at The Lodge we spotted that the red squirrels have started caching nuts, this means more visits to the feeders. One for me one for later, one for me one for later 🥜.
Now that Easter is officially over, we would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to every single one of you who came to our Easter Duck Race! It was fantastic to see everyone having such a great time in the sunshine and we loved helping unstuck your ducks! We can't wait to do it all again next year!🦆🌲🌳🌊
