As the whole of central Scotland shivered beneath the fog, John sought out the sun! After ascending through the freezing fog for over an hour he broke through to enjoy a stunning walk to the summit of Ben Ledi. Check out the Glen full of fog, nearly 3,000 feet below!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening with 14 excellent Speakers all adding to the story of the life of Sir Ernest Shackleton, one of the most famous Antarctic Explorers. Locating The Endurance on the seabed almost 100 years after his death was a feat in itself. Walking back to our hotel we paused to admire SS Discovery, the ship on which Shackleton served under Captain Scott in his first visit to Antarctica. A stunning sunrise over the River Tay popped up at breakfast! Scottish Geographical Society

We have always been fascinated, and in awe, of the story of Shackleton and his explorations of Antartica. The idea of attending a whole festival around this amazing man and his courageous crew was too good to miss! Dundee here we come next week!

We are both now on a one week countdown to a great night out in Glasgow next Saturday. A brilliant act has just been added to the lineup and it's new to us too. Can't wait!

The team of one of our favourite visits of 2024 (Kilmartin Museum) attended a UK award ceremony in Cardiff last week and were delighted to be awarded "Highly Commended". Our guests on tour would certainly have agreed with that!! We look forward to visiting again in 2025 and would be happy to include this amazing corner of Argyll in any tour!

We are thrilled to be attending the Council for British Archaeology Awards ceremony in Cardiff tonight!🎉

Kilmartin Museum's new Permanent Exhibition has been shortlisted for the ArchaeologyUK 2024 Archaeological Achievement Awards in the Public Dissemination or Presentation category. The new exhibition is being recognised for offering visitors of all ages a fascinating and engaging insight into the lives of people who inhabited one of Scotland’s most significant archaeological landscapes across 12,000 years. Showcasing a Nationally Significant collection, it features artefacts from Kilmartin Glen and across Argyll.

🤞Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Thanks to one of our previous tour guests Greg, for sharing this fascinating story. A long held secret has just been discovered from deep within one of Scotland's most important lighthouses! Maybe next time we tour in Galloway we will check it out!!

Engineers were shocked to find the message deep inside the wall of a lighthouse in the south of Scotland.

We love our off season research trips! This time we popped up to the wonderful, newly developed, Scottish Crannnog Centre in deepest Perthshire. We enjoyed taking part in a number of Iron Age activities and even put in some effort on the grinding stones! The team of young archaeologists brought everything alive. A fabulous visit and definitely one to recommend to our guests in 2025.

Anyone who has toured with Sublime Scotland knows all about Susan's winter hobby!! Curling! There was an extra buzz in the air recently when the Stirling Curlers played against CANADA!! The Canadian touring team are playing 15 ice rinks across Scotland and enjoying warm Scottish hospitality in each location! Lots of stamina is being required on that tour for sure. PS Stirling beat Canada and it was a fun day for all.

As part of her volunteering role in Stirling, Susan enjoyed taking part in an excellent conference yesterday at Paisley Abbey. Lots of new ideas were discussed which will help in making the amazing Visit The Church of the Holy Rude a sustainable church for years to come!

We are always searching for new experiences for our guests. We have found one! There are only 5,000 beautiful Clydesdales horses left across the globe. Would you like to get to know one by enjoying a fabulous trek together, along a stunning Ayrshire beach? We will include this in any 2025 tour!

The Clydesdale - Scotlands Pride and national treasure - Workhorse of the world, they were an indispensable part of your history and heritage
