We are very excited to tell you about a few changes that have taken place in the last couple of months that we believe will further enhance our service offering;

We have seen unprecedented growth at Halt Hire Ltd, we have therefore taken our fleet stock holding to over 3500 products and it is rising.

We have new Diggers, Trailers, Peckers, Dumpers, Toilets, Stihl Saws, Compaction Plates, Generators, Alloy Tower and much more arriving daily.

We are also expanding our Branch Network into Yorkshire very soon.

With all that is happening we have taken the opportunity to restructure the business and we have a number of new arrivals that have taken up new & key roles within Halt Hire Ltd.

Simon Whitfield founder of Halt Hire Ltd. almost six years ago (October 2016) remains in an overall management position.

Darren Stares is the Assistant Branch Manager for the Toilet Division – Darren is also a driver, he has been with Halt for nearly two years & he organises Deliveries/Collections in addition to Organising the maintenance programme including cleaning.

Daniel Ross is new to Halt and is an experienced Hire Controller – Daniel processes On Hires & Off Hires as well managing stock takes, Damages on receipt of Off Hire and manages maintenance records.

Dave Gallagher is new to Halt Hire and is an experienced Fitter – Dave manages all the branch maintenance, working hand in glove with Daniel ensuring equipment is fit for purpose & Ready for Hire.

Gareth Neasham is new to Halt Hire and so is his Role – Gareth is the Preventative Maintenance Manager, Gareth will be conducting on site assessment of our entire fleet with a focus on our Diggers, Trailers & Dumpers. We have purchased a brand new ford transit vehicle fitted with all the spares and tools Gareth needs to service our fleet both in the depot and on site. Gareth will produce service certification as and when he services our plant. We see this as an essential role to keep our fleet young and in good condition.

Alan Evans is new to Halt Hire – Alan is an experienced fitter with over 30 years worth of experience and he covers Yorkshire for us a breakdown fitter.

Kane Gallagher is new to Halt Hire and is a fitter - Kane will assist Dave in the depot with all the maintenance of our equipment and he will also be our breakdown fitter visiting site whenever & wherever he is needed.

Phillip Mitchell is new to Halt Hire and he is a Driver – Phil will drive our toilet truck and is responsible for maintaining all of our toilet fleet.

Shane Searle has been with Halt Hire for six months and is a driver – Shane assists with deliveries/collections of the entire fleet.

Charlie Whitfield – Charlie has been with Halt for almost 5 years assisting in most roles from Hire Controller, Drivers mate and is now a Full Time Sales Representative.

We therefore have a Manager, a Hire Controller, 4 Fitters, 3 Drivers and a Sales Person trying our very best to give all of our customers the best possible service.

The role of Hire Driver

It's really important that our customers get the equipment they've hired when they want it, where they want it every time, so your role includes:

Complete safe delivery, collection and distribution of hire equipment using company vehicles - please bear in mind you will need to be able to drive a 3.5 ton vehicle, and also preferably be able to tow. This will be the bulk of your role, however you will need to be able to support the team with the below tasks.
• Carry out appropriate equipment and vehicle checks on a routine basis
• Ensure all hire fleet maintenance records are kept up to date
• Keep the workshop safe clean and tidy to company standards
• Have responsibility of the hire fleet within the branch
• Safeguard against theft of company goods
• Complete distribution of hire equipment using company vehicles
• Follow and maintain company transport policies
• Serve customers efficiently, safely and to the company policies and procedures
• Complete stock takes as required
• Complete other branch duties as requested by members of the branch management team

What you need

• Previous experience in the Hire industry would be beneficial for this role.
• hold a licence which allows you to tow
• be a team player
• have a really positive attitude
• have a genuine interest in the industry

Halt Hire Ltd offers our customers a range of equipment including diggers, dumpers and small power tools to companies within the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
As a Small Tools Fitter you will play a pivotal role in the success of our busy depot with responsibility for servicing and maintaining a variety of small tools including 2/4 stroke petrol tools and a range of electrical tools including saws, grinders and drills to ensure that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

• A relevant mechanical/electrical qualification (or time served)
• Significant experience in petrol and diesel contractor tools servicing and maintenance
• Proven ability to test and run electrical tools
• Current PAT testing certificate
• A valid driving licence is required and a towing license is preferred but not essential.

BNI Leaders Chapter

We're Gold Members!

We have done it!!! GOLD!!!
Leaders Chapter have ran a growth initiative " " and today we have been oficially recognised as a 40 member Gold Chapter of BNI UK & Ireland. 👏👏 But we didn't just do it...we SMASHED IT...FORTY FIVE MEMBERS!! 💥💥
It was a bit of a party atmosphere this morning, we had balloons, cake, gold themed weekly presentations, Gold Chapter lapel pins were presented and to top it off Wayne Jones was welcomed into the GOLD MEMBER club too...perfect timing Wayne!! 🙌🙌
Paul Dobson recieved a testimonial from Jeremy Smith and Stuart Raymond Howarth recieved one from Rosie Whelpton!!
We had a GOLD STANDARD (see what we did there!!😉) Feature Presentation from Simon Whitfield on Halt Hire ltd, who knew mobile tower scaffold could be so interesting...and attractively priced too!!
And to cap off a perfect meeting, chapter president Lyndsay Wind presented venue event co-ordinator at Redworth Hall Hotel - "Our Vicky" with a beautiful bouquet to say a huge thank you for looking after us so well over the four years we have been there, here is to many more in th future!!
BTW...did I mention that in the midst of all this almost £100,000 of invoiced business was recorded!!! !! 😉🥇

Wow wow wow another AMAZING meeting at Leaders chapter this morning! Neville Morris from NCM Paving struck gold with our Notable Networker award for his outstanding contribution to the chapter last month, AND he also bagged the ✨Star of the Week✨! Rosie Whelpton from Geonet Solutions showed us how thank you for the business isn't just about 1st generation referrals, but also 2nd, 3rd, 4th and more in her ed slot. We also thanked Stu Hall from Stuart Hall & Co for his excellent long-standing contribution and dedication to BNI with his 7 year member ribbon, saw an brilliant Launch Presentation from one of our newbies Lucy Hope from Bespoq Finance telling us more about her business, and last but by certainly no means least, a very informative (and hilarious) Feature Presentation from the one and only Wayne Jones from Franks the Flooring Store!

From the welcome smiles on the Sign In Desk from Lucy Hope and Emma Courtenay, to the fabulous room and breakfast, our meeting had everything today! There was excellent open networking, a brand new member induction by Chapter President Lyndsay Wind (thanks for inviting Max Ripley along Debra Swinburn and also offering to be his mentor!)
Then we had a great launchpad presentation from Jill at Bernini Natural Stone and a super feature presentation by Glenn Lowry of Synergy Telecoms! Phew...packed morning, oh and we had one of our members Leanne Hall on holiday this week and her SUBSTITUTE won the STAR OF THE WEEK!! Well done Neil from Classic Wedding Cars NE, thanks for subbing!! 😃😃
