Carrying a knife on a night out only goes one way and you could lose everything โ€“ your job, relationship and friends, and thatโ€™s just the start.

Anyone can surrender a knife at Cleveland Police stations across Teesside.

*** WINTER HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT FUND VOUCHERS ***

Vouchers to help with the cost of living are on the way for more than 17,000 low-income households - and there's added support for elderly residents who do not receive winter fuel payments.

If you are eligible for Council Tax Reduction you will be sent a voucher worth ยฃ80 to help pay food and energy costs. The voucher is exchangeable for money at any PayPoint outlet and must be exchanged by the end of February.

The vouchers will be sent automatically, so if you receive Council Tax Reduction, there is no need to apply.

A ยฃ100 voucher to help with energy costs will also be available for elderly households who are on a low income but do not qualify for winter fuel payments.

The vouchers, exchangeable for money, will be sent automatically in the first two weeks of January.

This means that pensioners aged over 66 in receipt of Council Tax Reduction but not eligible for winter fuel payments will be entitled to receive up to ยฃ180 worth of extra support in January.

And remember, residents who are on a low income but do not receive Council Tax Reduction or claim pension credit can apply for a discretionary ยฃ80 payment.

To find out more on the Household Support Fund and how you can apply online for the discretionary payment, visit www.stockton.gov.uk/hsf

๐Ÿš’ Reminder for Bonfire Night ๐Ÿš’

Cleveland Fire Brigade are here tonight to keep you safe.

If you see their firefighters or engines attending an incident, please show them the respect they deserve.

Attacking firefighters or damaging their vehicles doesnโ€™t just endanger themโ€”it could take a fire engine off the road, stopping it from reaching other emergencies and putting even more people at risk.

Letโ€™s come together to keep everyone safe tonight. Respect our emergency respondersโ€”theyโ€™re here to protect all of us.

Tears and laughter is the best way to describe tonight, with 27 men wanting to talk, with 4 new men making that difficult step for the first time, it wasnโ€™t long until they realised they arenโ€™t the only person going through something similar, as the song goes

โ€œIโ€™ll get by with a little help from my friendsโ€

They made new friends that were there for them, if anyone else is struggling call into one of our meetings and realise like they did tonight that

We help each other with whatever you are going through, and good luck to a regular friend of AMC, who has been attending over the 12 months we have been open, heโ€™s a young lad and has his full life ahead of him, he says we helped him come out of his shell, thank you for the kind words, now please go and enjoy everything that you do, call in whenever youโ€™re home, we really will miss youโ€™re strange sense of humour, but please never forget
