๐ So today we were later out than usual because of our FEDEX delivery but this seemed to have worked to our advantage โฆA very quiet Animal Kingdom ๐๐๐ป
Starting in Asia for a change Mr R did Everest and before Iโd had time To find a seat he was back! ๐ข
Onwards to Africa and a safari. It was great to see the baby ๐ but sad no lions as theyโve been retired and the new pride are getting used to their new environment without guests at the moment.
A pit stop ๐ป and onto Pandora. Flights of passage (arguably one of the top rides on Disney) had queues between 30 and 50minsโฆUnheard of โฆ and to be honest when We got there it was 30mins and took longer to walk in than to ride. ๐ฏ
It was getting dark and close To park close so we grabbed a pretzel ๐ฅจ and night blossom ๐ฅค to wait for Pandora at its prettiest before heading back to the car ๐
As we were walking back we heard it was snowing back home ๐ก โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ nothing of the sort here and the night was young so a detour to Disney Springs for some music ๐ถ and a margarita ๐ธ before mac n cheese back at base ๐ก

๐Not every holiday is a bunch of roses even for Travel agents and this one has certainly thrown so much at us ๐๐ช๏ธ@iberostarplayaparaiso is a fabulous resort even in #tropicalstormnadine and all the rain ๐ง๏ธ and weโd come back but weโve had so much going on back at home ๐ก especially with our ๐ถ and lots for work ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป weโve not really had chance to switch off and enjoy it properly, let alone get the break we needed. It was also ๐ seeing our friends head home a few days ago too because of a family matter and we so nearly went home with them. ๐ฌ We landed in Mexico City and then had a long layover until we left to head to Puerto Vallarta.
When we arrived we were met by the One & Only Mandarina team and jumped in the minibus ๐ to head to the resort.
This became a bit of a delirious party bus ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธas we had been awake since 2 am Mexico time and this was now 10 am Mexico time but a few beers helped pass the transfer time ๐ฐ๏ธ to resort.
๐ฅฐOn arrival, we were all blown away. The resort sits in a beautiful area surrounded by lots of flora and fauna. ๐ด After completing check-in, we were showing to our rooms which are ocean view treetop suites and if you could see our WhatsApp group, you would have seen how excited a bunch of travel agents get when they see something very special โค๏ธ.
Our rooms were as they suggest built out over the forest accessed by little bridges with views out to the Pacific Ocean. ๐
Each has a large deck area and private infinity plunge pool. Inside the villa a king size bed ๐๏ธ faces out to the ocean ๐ with a separate seating area ๐๏ธ and behind this area a large twin vanity bathroom ๐ฟ with double shower and outside tub ๐๐ปโฆusual amenities for a property of this level are also found for example, mini bar, laundry service tea and coffee, robes as well as flip-flops ๐ฉด , a beach bag and a cap .
We barely had time to settle in before being picked up by our villa hosts in the little buggies to go to Alma for lunch ๐ฅ . After lunch we had a much needed break and I headed back to the room to do a little bit of work ๐ป and then ended up in my plunge pool with my kindle taking in the view ๐while some of the others headed to the beach and some took a nap ๐ด
Before long it was time to be collected again by our host to head to Villa one which is the signature villa for the resort. ๐It sits on top of the hillside with a vista of the ๐ , amazing outdoor space, including Day beds an outside kitchen a large pool and huge terra
๐ฅฑ I started off really early due to BA cancelling my flight to London on Tuesday night ๐คฌ and rebooking me on a much earlier flight than I had planned to take off so after arriving I installed my self working in a restaurant with some breakfast in Heathrowโs T3 ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป
One by one everyone joined us and after a long day we headed to check in for our flight to Mexico ๐ฒ๐ฝ
๐ฅฐWeโve been lucky enough to be given the transatlantic legs in Aeromexicoโs premier one business class cabin. With this comes lounge access and they partner with Virgin Atlantic for this so we all headed to the Virgin clubhouse. ๐คฉ Now I usually always use a lounge when travelling but this has to have been one of the best lounges I have been in. ๐ฝ๏ธ ๐ท The selection of food and beverages was amazing. It was really spacious and had plenty of seating including quiet areas ๐คซ . I think it was probably a lot quieter than usual though as we were there very late on in the evening.
๐Before long it was time to head to the gate. As sky priority passengers you also have a buggy that takes you to the gate which was a nice surprise.
On Boarding we turned left into business!
I have only ever sat in business on aircraft visits so this was a new and welcome experience.
๐บ Settling into our seats we were bought a glass of champagne ๐ฅ and found the hidey holes / usb ports and amenity kit (more on that later!)
Not long after take off it was time for a fruit and cheese platter before dinner. For which I chose chicken ๐ and ice cream ๐ฆ .
After dinner and finishing a film I pressed the lie flat mode made my bed ๐๏ธ (!) up and that was me for almost 7hours ๐ค
When i woke up people were starting to stir and I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. The amenity kit we were given on board has a useful
Toothbrush ๐ชฅ toothpaste and soap ๐งผ comb ๐ชฎ and eye mask ๐๏ธ as well as a pair of slippers ๐ฅฟ . Soon after breakfast was served and I settled down
