Our Dùthchas 2024 programme is now live!

This year's heritage festival will run over two weeks, from 7th - 20th September, featuring over 25 events, from guided historical walks, daily Gaelic classes, ceilidhs, films, poetry workshops, discussions with authors, cookery demos and more - there is something for everyone!

To give you a taste of just some of the events we have lined up...

⭐A Blas Festival ceilidh to celebrate Comunn na Gàidhlig's 40 anniversary! With a buffet provided by Onboard Hebrides
⭐Daily Gaelic classes at Comunn Eachdraidh Nis
⭐Walks with Frank Rennie and Roddy Martin, who will take participants on guided tours of Galson and Borve, whilst sharing historical stories and tales of the area
⭐Join musicians Robert John MacInnes, or DB & Murdigan, at CEN for an afternoon of lunch and music
⭐Allan Macritchie - The Niseach Chef will be holding two cookery & tasting demos, delighting attendees with traditional cooking skills and stories
⭐Learn how to make a tweed lampshade with Adabrock Weaving Company
⭐Join Acair Books authors Frank Rennie (Among the Layers of the Land) and Joni Buchanan (Women of the Hebrides) for discussions on their books
⭐Head to Taigh Dhonnchaidh for a ceilidh with local musicians

We are also delighted to be hosting Community Land Scotland’s final talk in the Simon Fraser Memorial series, with Brian Wilson, who will present “Why Land Reform Matters: The power of people and place” on the final day of the festival, Friday 20th September at ClanMacq.

Next week we will be sharing more details on our socials about the individual events. You can head over to our website to book events now!
