https://www.freetobook.com/review/aGuQjiE3/an-acail An Acail holiday cottage is run by Jeanne and Iain. An Acail, originally an agricultural barn, is now a converted self catering cottage (2014) and has been awarded four stars through the Visit Scotland quality assurance scheme. The cottage is just a short drive from Stornoway town centre and is perfectly located for exploring the

Islands of Lewis and Harris. The Islands boast beautiful beaches, many historical sites, and there are numerous walks. Ranging from simple strolls to more adventurous rambles. The accommodation is on two levels. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen/dining and living room and access to the first floor. Also on the ground floor is the master bedroom (with super king size bed) and luxury bathroom (with spa bath and a water fall shower). The bathroom has Jack and Jill doors, so can be accessed from the bedroom or hall way. The bathroom also has a TV and blue tooth speakers. The upstairs is accessed through the living area and stairs which can be lit at floor level. There are two bedrooms upstairs both with ensuite shower rooms. Both these rooms have twin beds. To the rear of the cottage there is a patio area and a large picnic table. There is also an outbuilding which houses the boiler for the central heating and the laundry facilities - washing machine, ironing area, and clothes pulley and tumble dryer. These facilities are for your sole use. There is also an outdoor drying area. An Acail is a warm cosy house with oil central heating which can be fully controlled by you. We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible and provide all bed linen, towels and a small welcome pack to help you settle in on your first night.
