Cottages have private patios and a shared lawn in front of the ancient tithe barn. Also beautiful timber framed 600 year old barn (recently renovated) available for hire with accommodation. Sullington Manor Farm is an ancient agricultural farmstead next to a Saxon church, a farm for over 800 years it is still a family run beef and arable farm. There is an exhibition on the history of Sullington and farming on the South Downs in The Old Workshop, 16th century barn.

We're excited to say that we're still open with 'Contemporary Art at Sullington' for the rest of the week with beautiful pieces, all for sale. The exhibition will be on until Monday 27th May.

How lucky are to be surrounded by such talented artists locally!

MEET Nick Hebditch Fine Art - -

We are really excited to have Nick's work on display for our 'Four Artists, One Barn' exhibition from Thursday 28th March - 14th April at The Old Workshop cafe here, all pieces for sale.

Working largely in oil and mixed media, Nick sporadically explores new ideas in his work through his response to light, colour, and a variety of media. He enjoys the possibilities of mark making, surface texture and abstract qualities that are encountered through the act of painting.

Nick’s focus is to capture the feeling and emotion of a place, whilst depicting the interplay between light, land, water and sky.

MEET WILLIAM PAPWORTH - -

Will sat at the potter's wheel for the first time in 2019 and has been hooked ever since. His work reflects his appreciation of stylish and minimalistic design.

The glaze Will uses all share a natural and subdued palette.

We are so excited to have William exhibiting at our upcoming 'Four Artists, One Barn' here at The Old Workshop cafe, Sullington Manor Farm from 28th March - 14th April. Cafe & exhibition closed Monday 1st April.

The cows, here, are blissfully unaware of what is going on in the outside world. The mothers, at dusk, call their calves to make sure they know where they are.

Enormous thank you to everyone who has supported The Old Workshop cafe so far, its with a heavy heart we have to say that the cafe will not open this weekend - not even for toilet paper😀! We think this is in line with government advice and look forward very much to seine everyone again at Easter. Byre Cottages are still open for business though some overseas visitors have had to cancel - so some extra availability if you know anyone wanting to escape the city!

Have decided to go ahead as planned and open The Old Workshop cafe this Friday- Sunday, 10am-3pm. Looking forward to seeing all you nice, clean people! 😀

Sloe gin production....still loads of sloes in the hedgerows...great activity for an autumnal evening! And even better at Christmas!

This is definitely more fun! Swimming with ducks anyone? Just need ☀️
