Well some of you will be aware, but if not, my silence on social media has been down to that change in life we all reach, when the death of our last parent means we become the elders of the family, and that reminder of our own mortality!

My lovely mum, died in July at the grand old age of 97! John and I took her out just a month before to a nearby garden and cafe where she enjoyed the sunshine and flowers. Her joy in life were music and dance, and she was a professional dancer before she settled into having a family. The photo is of her in her Song Of Norway costume, that she toured the country performing in.

Just a month before her death, the latest addition to the family arrived, my great niece who came to celebrate my birthday with me at the weekend. 🎂 The circle of life completes and our attention turns to the next generation. 💗👶🏻

I’m still here, buried in lots of admin and clearing stuff, the inevitable burden that falls on to some of us, whilst the business of holidaying in Norfolk just quietly ticks along in the background. Hopefully some of you are thinking about a winter break and our three properties are ready and waiting for you. 😊 Sadly Bramble Cottage was sold recently, so is no longer available for holidays.

A day trip into Norwich is well worth the effort, with so many things to do once there. Visit the Sainsbury’s Art Centre, walk around the lake, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants. Take the train from Cromer or North Walsham, or driving with many car parks to choose from or the Park and Ride.
Plenty of availability left at the properties for a spring break!

We just love visiting the pier and especially the theatre at the end. Music, comedy, plays and of course the Summer and Christmas variety shows. It’s as good as going to the West End, but right on the doorstep; walking distance if you stay at Cromer Flint Cottage!

Always good fun to see the lifeboat being launched, so if you're in Cromer on Easter Sunday morning, pop along to see it making a splash!

As we start the Easter Bank Holiday weekend we are expecting lots of visitors to our coast to enjoyour beautiful beaches and coastal paths and of course Cromer Pier - home to our all-weather lifeboat.

So, if you are in Cromer this weekend why not:

* Come and see our all-weather lifeboat launching on Easter Sunday at approx 9.30am as part of ongoing training.

** Visit our lifeboat station souvenir shop and viewing gallery which will be open over the Easter weekend - 11:00 to 15:00, Saturday and Monday and 10:00 until 16:00 Easter Sunday. (subject to volunteer availability)

*** Plus on’t forget you can also visit the RNLI Henry Blogg Museum, and souvenir shop - open all bank holiday weekend .

And if your out and about to keep safe, we recommend that you:

* check weather forecast and tide tables
* carry a means of calling for help
* keep dogs on lead on coast paths
* wear a buoyancy aid if kayaking/SUP boarding
* if you end up in the water unexpectedly, float to live
* call 999 and ask for the Coastguard if you see anyone in difficulty.

I can finally confirm Rhiannas dog grooming is relocating 1 last time to Bacton, Norfolk. After 4 years in London, 2 years in Great Yarmouth it’s time to settle once and for all.

After my BIG move to Norfolk. Great Yarmouth has been good to me, meeting many fabulous people and unforgettable doggos. It really has lifted my business to new heights but now putting my family first, it’s time to move the business closer to home. How about a break away whilst you get in the Christmas mood? There are lots of wreath making workshops around Norfolk, so you can go home with a head start on a beautiful front door wreath to welcome your Christmas visitors. From late November into early December, you can book at venues around Norwich, Fakenham and Fairhaven Garden in South Walsham, all within an hour or so of the properties.

Walcott Dog Park falls between Bacton and Happisburgh so just a 4/5 minute car drive for guests staying at Beachscape & Tides in Bacton, or Bramble Cottage in Happisburgh.
