‼️Ticket Update
We've had a surge in ticket sales recently, so with just two days to go we wanted to give you a quick update on all things tickets for Stranraer Oyster Festival as it stands right now:
❓ Do I need to book online?
✅ We strongly recommend online booking, especially if you're visiting on Saturday. Booking will give you faster entry, and it helps us enormously with site management. You can also get tickets from Gateway to Galloway and Central Cafe. To book, head here https://stranraeroysterfestival.citizenticket.com/organiser/stranraer-oyster-festival/
❓ Do I need tickets for chef demos?
✅ Yes, all the chef demos are ticketed events because the number of seats is limited.
❓ Do I need tickets for anything else?
✅ General admission and chef demos are the only events on the festival site that need tickets. Some activities, like the Oyster Eating competition, you can sign up for at the festival.
❓ Have any events sold out?
✅ Two of Tony Singh’s demos have sold out, and the Lisi brothers’ Saturday event has sold out - Saturday is looking very busy. You can still catch Tony and Cyrus on Sunday, and the Lisi brothers on Friday evening. We usuallly have some returned tickets available on the door, but best not to rely on that.
❓ What’s new this year?
✅ The Eco Zone is a new area of the festival which will host talks and activities, including marine touch tanks, environmental information and wildlife walks. The Opening Ceremony is moving slightly later in the evening with a light up procession on the water. The live music programme is bigger than ever, you can read more about this in the festival blog on our website. There are lots of new traders, as well as familiar faces, and there’s a new Hills & Harbour Cocktail & Gin Bar to enjoy!
❓ What else is there to do at the festival?
✅ So much!!! You can view the full programme on our website, or pick up a copy of the programme at various locations in and around Stranraer.
❓ What if it rains?
✅ What do you mean? The sun always shines in Stranraer ☀️😉
