"Beautiful sunshine alternating with wet and windy days! The comfort of the cottage was most appreciated when the wind howled and rain beat on the windows! Gannets fishing, peregrines swooping, stonechats, kestrels, kittiwakes, shearwaters, cormorants and gulls, rock pipits, oyster catchers and buzzards near Sandhead. A wonderful week. Last here 9 years ago… we will not leave it so long again before we return! Thank you."

Exciting job opportunities at the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse

‼️ Job Vacancies at the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse:

✅ We are looking to employ enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills to work as Exhibition Tour Guides in the Lighthouse Exhibition and at the top of the Lighthouse at the Mull of Galloway.

These are seasonal positions and the visitor attraction is open from 29th March until 2nd November 2025 from 11am to 5pm. Weekend and bank holiday working is required.

Duties include:
To welcome visitors and provide information about the Lighthouse and Exhibition at our visitor experience.
Answer visitors questions - all information is provided.
Show visitors around the Exhibition and the top of the Lighthouse and provide information to our visitors to enhance their tour.

The successful applicants will work as members of our team with shifts on a part time rota system.

Full training will be given prior to the start of the season and this will include first aid training. Applicants must have their own means of transport to travel to and from the Mull of Galloway.
