Pirate night on board Disney Cruise Line Disney Dream!! What an amazing experience. We had a beautiful dinner in the Animators Palate where our host Mawi, who was INCREDIBLE, was dressed up alongside the other hosts. We then watched the show on deck 11 where all the characters were dancing and singing. The kids got to sit right in front of the stage and enjoy the show close up. Enjoying & exploring the outdoor activities on Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Dream cruise ship!Where do I startโ€ฆthere are 2 outdoor pools in the shape of Mickey one deeper than the other. The ship provides life vests for kids which saves on packing and a real bonus.There is a covered Finding Nemoโ€™s splash area which my little boy loved at age 2 with lots of water jets and a mini slide. Also great for adults to walk around with little ones as you donโ€™t need to get wet.Thereโ€™s also another small slide for ages 4-14 just next to the pools. But the best and most impressive slide is the one that goes around the ship. Itโ€™s a tube slide for 2 people, aged over 7โ€™s and a certain height can ride without an adult too. The queue can get quite big so make sure you ride when itโ€™s quieter & great in the evening.Thereโ€™s also a hot tub where the kids can go just to the side of the pools.For the those wanting so adult time there is also an adult only area with a pool, swim up bar and hot tub just below Currents Bar.There are soda stations around the pool area along with hot beverages & also a small bar offering alcoholic drinks. Pool hosts walk around the deck and offer drinks too. You can get beer packages which include a fantastic cool bag that you get take as a souvenir. WOWโ€ฆwhat a food lovers experience. I went for dinner @restaurantdesarma Funchal Madeira and was blown away!This set dining experience which was also paired with one is a must do when visiting Madeira. The food was excellent and the sommeliers really knew their stuff when pairing their wine choices with the food.The chef named the restaurant Desarma as he wanted guests to be blown away when eating his food and boy did he nail it! I have a dairy intolerance and the chefs prepared a meal that any non intolerant guest would have had no idea didnโ€™t contain dairy. As a foodie I was wowed by the complexity and art in which these chefs have put into their food. You can tell they have a true passion for what they do.I had the chance to visit the kitchen and chat with the chefs which was a real highlight. I had the deluxe package at the hotel, which gave you reserved dining at the hotels main restaurant, upgraded rooms and the special touches. The hotel boasts a stunning outdoor pool which has incredible views out over the city of Funchal & to the sea. It also has an indoor pool, gym and spa where you can book relaxing treatments at an additional cost. The rooms are amazing with a balcony and also house apartments for those wanting to share a larger space. Another fabulous wine taste @kanonkopwineestate stellenbosch!! We were greeting by the wineries house digs which are super cute & obvs the kids loved them. We spent some time at this fantastic winery on our visit to Stellenbosch @fairviewwineandcheese where they even do a special tasting for the kids, which they absolutely loved! Some fizzy flavoured water and their own cheese board.
