A little break between bookings. Thank you, Annabel, who has worked incredibly hard this year. Carpets are now lovely and clean and Annabel is decorating for Christmas - which I so look forward to seeing - she has amazing taste! 🕯❄️

Christmas shopping in Stratford upon Avon is just wonderful. The lights are just lovely. The RSC is open for a new Christmas show. Then snuggling up with a book after a dip in the tub in front of the fire with a hot chocolate! 💕🎄at Heath Cottage! And I’m told the tapas bar opposite is a great new addition to the many choices for eating out… We still have some availability…Happy Advent everyone! 🧑‍🎄

When I used to travel for business to Glasgow, I used to stay in an amazing hotel, called the George now the Carlton George, which provided a bottle of whisky in each room. Back in those days, the learning curve was sharp and workload high so a wee dram of whisky at the end of the day was most welcome.

On a recent visit to Stratford, I popped into the Shakespeare Distillery to see what they have to offer and there is an amazing selection of artisan rum and gin, see for yourself:

I picked up a few little bottles for our guests to try… they seemed to go down well… but would welcome your thoughts on whether guests would welcome a bottle of Shakespeare gin on arrival?

Just to remind guests that we provide parking for one car at the NCP on Rother Street and for any other cars, we would recommend the Just Park app used by some of our guests. 🚗

In other news, we have had a shower replacement in the bathroom! And the hot tub has just been refurbished with brand new cushions! 🫧 🫧 🥂

And don’t forget, any issue… including what to do when the weather is bad… ask Annabel! 🌞 ☔️
