You are part of the problem.
Ah ha, gotcha with my controversial headline! But hear me out, because I had this "lightbulb moment" while in my car in Stratford-upon-Avon recently, and perhaps it has never occurred to you, too.
When you're stuck in traffic, complaining about too many cars on the road, roadworks causing delays, potholes and cracks in the road - you are part of the problem.
If I wasn't here, in my car, being *part* of the traffic, then there would be less traffic. There would be less wear and tear on the road so there would be fewer potholes and repairs needed. And we might not need eleventy-billion traffic lights on the Birmingham Road in Stratford-upon-Avon... 🤣
It's Better Transport Week this week (12-18th June) and, I know, it's not always easy to travel by public transport. It doesn't always take you where you want to go, when you want to go. But if we could switch at least some of our journeys to public transport, that would be better, wouldn't it?
Our minibus tours of the Cotswolds take up to 16 cars off the road, and can take you to Cotswold villages that are not served by public transport. You can easily get to our pick up points in Stratford-upon-Avon and Moreton-in-Marsh by train or bus, too.

Walking a short section, or taking a circular route, is a fantastic way to get outside and experience some of England's most beautiful countryside - no specialist equipment required!

If you're taking a day trip by train to visit the Cotswolds, don't forget to plan how you're going to get around the Cotswolds once you're there!
Buses in London go everywhere and run around the clock, 24/7 - but things are a bit different here in the Cotswolds!
Some towns and villages are lucky to have one or two buses per hour, while others may have one bus there and one bus back per day. Night buses aren't even A Thing here, and some villages are not served by public transport at all!
With very careful planning, it certainly is possible to get around the Cotswolds by public transport.
But, if you only have one day, then make the most of it by taking one of our tours instead 😊 Here's a little taster...
