I've been booking last-minute winter sun breaks to Gran Canaria, lots of multi-family holidays for Easter and May school holidays. A cracking holiday to Malta for a family in the summer, a few holidays to Dubai and Sardina, and a city break to Krakow.

I’m working on more family holidays, a trip around Costa Rica, a multicentre trip in France, sightseeing in Cairo, a honeymoon to a secret destination… to name a few!

New for summer 2025, Campioni Soccer Academy is bringing the opportunity to get football coaching from former Premier League players and UEFA coaches to Kuramathi Maldives.

28th July-1st August with John Barnes 4th-8th August with Stuart Pearce and Harry Redknapp

Sessions include daily football training sessions focusing on the children improving their technical skills, game and approach, using the FA’s 4 Corner Model, all on-site in a fun, safe and idyllic environment.

Participating children also receive a kit, cap, water bottle and bag and the entire family will get chances to socialise with the football legends through the week.

The academy is open to all children staying on Kuramathi aged between 4-15 years.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Participants must be in resort for the entire duration of the academy, arriving at least one day before start and departing at least one day after the end.

Yesterday! Our original plan was to visit the Grindelwald First sky walk but high winds meant access to this area was closed.
So we moved onto our next reason of being there … sledging!!
After a brief consultation with the locals and rental sledges secured, we decided on a gondola up to Eigergletscher which is 2300m high and the main route up to Jungfraujoch.
The gondola ride is impressive with comfortable seats and your view being split between Grindelwald below or as the name of the plateau suggests, the whole north face of the Eiger towering above.
From here we also tried to spot the route back down which looked immense and nerves started to creep in.
At the top of the plateau we checked the map, donned our gloves, put our big boy pants on and began the descent.
I apologise to mention it again but the views and mountain range that we were immersed in was breathtaking - nearly as much as the snow flying up into my mouth when trying to steer!
The boys took to sledging like Olaf in an ice bar, me and Matt however definitely had the bruises to prove our trip.
We made our way down the well marked although narrow route it felt at times like we had the mountain to ourselves and whilst topping at speeds of 30km per hour, braking was a necessity.
In total we sledded around 9km over 2.5 hours with an eventful descent of 700m down to 1600m finishing at Alpiglen.
We then caught the small mountain train back to Grindelwald to return our sledges and scenic train back to Lucerne.
By the time we got back bruises were already showing!… but nothing a glass of Gluhwein wouldn’t fix
Everything is so well organised here and this trip was no different a fantastic snow filled day!!

Back home now and ready to get all@your holidays booked.
