Fantastic news! Nanny’s back 🍰🧁🍦🫖☕️
Yes, the rumours are true, Nanny’s is back, well almost…..reopening Wednesday 30th March.
While I am super excited about getting back, my decision was not taken lightly as I know it has implications for Ross (Stovolds) and for this, I am sorry. I wish Ross every success for the future.
The warm Highland welcome for which Nanny’s was renowned will remain however, there are few wee changes afoot. A period of re-evaluating life brought me to the conclusion that there must be a way to achieve the following -
1) Have lots of fun running a busy seasonal business in the beautiful North West Highlands
2) Provide Customers with a friendly service and delicious home made local produce six days a week
3) Carve out a work/life balance which enables quality time to spend with family and friends during the summer months.
I think we’ve found the winning formula!
I’m delighted to announce that Little Swallow Foods (who will also continue to do the food cupboard next to the cattle grid) will be running a café from Nanny’s two days a week while Emily, Linda & I (and other familiar faces) will run Nanny’s for four days. Two great local businesses running under the same roof, it’s got to be a winner!
Our remote sparsely populated communities are stretched to capacity during the busy summer months. There are just not enough local people to staff the ever growing hospitality industry and the severe lack of accommodation further impacts the problem. Businesses have to find a way of continuing to provide a service with the resources available. By inviting Little Swallow Foods to trade from Nanny’s and making some small changes to the service we can offer I’m feeling hopeful we can all enjoy a great season ahead.
Lots more details to follow in the weeks ahead. Look forward to seeing you all very soon. X
