A little late but super proud of our show results at the HOE fleece show.

The team did us proud and really showcasing the qualities we have been focusing on specifically uniformity of micron, combined with density and length.

The highlight of the show was
Sheriff Yee-Haw’s junior fleece scoring 86.25. This placed him as champion fawn huacaya fleece and second behind the supreme champion giving him reserve champion in the show.

Below is a photo of Yee-Haw now at 16 months old and we are incredibly pleased with how he is developing and holding his fleece qualities.

I am always proud of our team and all the work that goes to build up the herd! I am very lucky to have a great team (thanks so much Hannah and Will). The highlights of the day are Reserve Champion grey female with Sheriff Rose, Champion brown Suri female with Sheriff Cowgirl and Champion black Suri female and judges choice with Sheriff Etta.

Congratulations to all exhibitors and thanks to the YAG group for such a well run show!

We are certified organic so we give the soil and grass some tlc by some organic feed and harrowing to remove dead grass making room for new shoots! Still plenty of time to grow as long as stays above around 8 degrees! 🌱 ☀️ 🌧️

What’s so interesting?

Can’t beat sneaking up on a cria snoozing 😊 The sire of this cria is our import from Germany OLD Massimo D Amour and I am super chuffed with what he is doing.

State of affairs at Sheriff this morning 😊

The alpacas are enjoying their tea and rather content at the BAS National show! Super proud of our team and some great results so far……. 😊

Do I dare say they are pros??? 😂

So the stud boys and weanlings were in seperate fields next to each other thinking a safer option…. (Only 2 days ago) Well the weanlings had a different idea when a hurdle fell down they joined the big boys…. Well I can’t believe it- neither group are phased what’s so ever! Special animals 😍
