Kitty & Sandy’s seat is a beautiful stone bench around the shore from Stromness with glorious views of Hoy and Graemsay. A wonderful place to stop and take a minute. Kitty and Sandy were a much loved Stromness couple who dedicated their lives to helping people. As Sandy got older he commented to friends that a bench would be nice at this location for a little rest while out walking. It was built in their memory.

This is just wonderful news and another reason to visit Orkney!

Earlier this year local RSPB Scotland staff were delighted to spot a pair nesting at the organisation’s nature reserve in Hoy, and can confirm that they now have chicks.
