If you happen to want cooling down....

Time for a and the first of our 💛

This is Sophie of Yoke House Homemade Ice Cream, and the garden kitchen where she and her husband Mark make the most delicious and local ice cream. It’s made using organic milk from Stroud Micro Dairy🥛, cream from Jess's Ladies Organic Milk🐄, and organic eggs from 🥚. Throw in some local fruit and even some honey🐝 et voila! Current flavours include damson, ginger and salted caramel 😋

Luckily their fully kitted out garden kitchen was completed just before the first lockdown, so Sophie & Mark have been able to continue to make ice cream over the past year. They used all that extra time to experiment with sorbets using whatever was growing in their orchard so they could offer fully vegan and dairy free options on their menu (🍎apple and calvados sorbet anyone?). Mark has been out and about making local deliveries during the lockdowns, to people’s doorsteps, farm shops, and even bars and restaurants in the small windows they’ve been allowed to open.
