“If the Chairman's Retreat in Slad is available during your planned trip, you should run--not walk--to book. And book with confidence! It is an amazing sliver of the world--peaceful, comfortable, perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds. It's a great blend of privacy and accessibility. The exterior has dramatic views of the beautiful landscape during the days and tons of stars if you're lucky enough to have a clear night.
Inside your find a well appointed split level home (and it definitely feels comfortable like a home away from home). The primary living space is immaculate and airy. The kitchen has everything a family needs to prepare meals, although we primarily used for breakfasts since there are great options in the surrounding towns. Our hosts were second to none. We've experienced many many AirBnb properties while traveling abroad and this one is at the top of our list.
Just fantastic--we didn't want to leave!”

We have had a last minute cancellation and therefore have availability from Thurs 4th to Mon 8th November (3 night minimum stay). Nothing then until January! Idyllic walk around the Slad Valley this morning, following the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way. The bluebells & wild garlic, set amongst the freshly leafing beech trees, are just sublime.
