These self-catering cottages are full of character and many have been restored to the way they originally looked and felt, with a range of unique features such as open log fires, 4 poster beds, Persian rugs and ancient wooden beams. Many of the cottages are set in gorgeous rural locations where you are surrounded by nature, others are set in peaceful Essex or Suffolk villages, such as the historic gems of Lavenham, Kersey or Long Melford. We also have cottages by the sea at Mersey island and up near Aldeburgh, if you would prefer to have a romantic retreat to a coastal cottage. We have beautiful cottages which are ideal for special occasions like a birthday treats, St Valentines or an anniversary. We have cosy cottages, which create the perfect romantic setting for proposing to a loved one, or coming on your honeymoon to. We have love nests that are enchanting backdrops to a romantic retreat, where you can really enjoy eachother's company. We love historic cottages and understand the beauty in old wattle and daub walls, flagstone and brick floors, open log fires and quaint cottage interiors that all combine to create a very unique and charming atmosphere. Of course we also have modern stylish cottages; where the hard juxtaposition of an unpainted ancient Water Mill wall with an ultra-modern bathroom makes for stunning interior design. We love style, but it is the atmosphere that it produces that we concentrate on, because we know how important your private time together is and we want to give you those special memories. The Sun is shining and there are masses of free apples for my guests at the old Grove farm. I took these photos today and this variety is called Ashmead’s Kernal from the 1700s - Not one you will find in the Supermarkets 😊- Delicious!

Beautiful walk from the lovely Box River Valley to Kersey, such gorgeous landscapes and enchanting tiny villages. If you love Ye Olde River House in Kersey as much as I do then contact me and maybe you can stay there, it’s a big ancient House, steeped in History and sleeps 4,6 or 8

Suffolk is so beautiful now. What a pleasure it is to walk down the tiny lanes and enjoy the ever changing flushes of colour as a new wave of wildflowers takes over.
