Welcome to The Grove Cottages, my collection of hand-picked romantic holiday cottages set in beautiful rural locations. For nearly 20 years, our aim has been to create the perfect setting for a romantic break; with five star authentic charm inside and idyllic rural setting outside. These cottages in Suffolk and Essex have been selected only for their styl

e, historic character and atmosphere; they ooze romance and are places where you can relax by just being in them. A holiday with The Grove Cottages is the perfect choice for a romantic, relaxing break away. These self-catering cottages are full of character and many have been restored to the way they originally looked and felt, with a range of unique features such as open log fires, 4 poster beds, Persian rugs and ancient wooden beams. Many of the cottages are set in gorgeous rural locations where you are surrounded by nature, others are set in peaceful Essex or Suffolk villages, such as the historic gems of Lavenham, Kersey or Long Melford. We also have cottages by the sea at Mersey island and up near Aldeburgh, if you would prefer to have a romantic retreat to a coastal cottage. We have beautiful cottages which are ideal for special occasions like a birthday treats, St Valentines or an anniversary. We have cosy cottages, which create the perfect romantic setting for proposing to a loved one, or coming on your honeymoon to. We have love nests that are enchanting backdrops to a romantic retreat, where you can really enjoy eachother's company. We love historic cottages and understand the beauty in old wattle and daub walls, flagstone and brick floors, open log fires and quaint cottage interiors that all combine to create a very unique and charming atmosphere. Of course we also have modern stylish cottages; where the hard juxtaposition of an unpainted ancient Water Mill wall with an ultra-modern bathroom makes for stunning interior design. We love style, but it is the atmosphere that it produces that we concentrate on, because we know how important your private time together is and we want to give you those special memories. As we say; ‘five star authentic charm inside, idyllic rural setting outside’.

Our lovely local Pub The Edwardstone White Horse, which is just a 15 minute walk across the fields from the old Grove Farm has just been crowned the best country Pub in Suffolk !! Well Done !!
