Charlotte's Wood provides a beautiful setting for a range of outdoor activities for children, parents, schools, holiday makers and anyone who wants to experience the therapeutic benefits of spending more time, being active outdoors. Charlotte is a qualified Forest School leader and trainer who runs Forest School sessions, parent and toddler activities and holiday clubs. For adults, Charlotte runs

Forest School leader training and Nordic Walking courses as well as Woodland Well-being sessions and team building days. Come for the day or come stay in one of the luxury lodges on the edge of our private woodland, and discover this hidden gem in the heart of East Anglia.

Days 3 and 4 of Wild Wood Holiday Club - a different mix of children - some new and many regulars. The weather was hot; a perfect time to be in the woodland chilling out in hammocks, swinging from trees and sitting quietly - crafting. I wonder what next week will bring!

Day 1 of six days of Wild Wood Holiday Club this summer. A chance to meet old friends, make new ones, make up games, climb trees, put up shelters, hang out in hammocks, whittle sticks, make swords, wands and fairy gardens, cook on the campfire and be enchanted by newts! It was the last day at Little Woodies for some of the children who have been coming all year (some for the past two or three years!) and who are now ready to go to school. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to watch these little mischief makers grow and develop. To start with they were shy and reluctant to leave their parents but over the weeks and months they have blossomed, becoming confident, independent and extremely sociable! I will really miss this group but look forward to seeing them at holiday club. I hope that they will remember our happy times together in the woods, being close to nature, exploring and being curious in all weathers! 🌳 🔥 🐛 🦋 🌧️ ☀️

It’s elderflower season - a great opportunity for exploring this somewhat smelly but very useful woodland shrub with the Little Woodies! We will be identifying it with our noses, making beads from its hollow stems and enjoying some tasty elderflower fritters 😋. There are still a few places available for any adventurous 2-5 year olds (together with a parent or carer) who would like to join our woodland play session tomorrow morning. Just one week to go until May Half Term and if you’re looking to get your child outside and off their screens why not book them in for a couple of days at Wild Wood Holiday Club? A chance to experience freedom playing with other children in a small, private woodland with activities led by the group but likely to include fire making, outdoor cooking, mud play, nature crafts, whittling, den building…Costs £60 per child for the two day club but funded places are available for anyone experiencing financial hardship. The club runs from 10am to 4pm (with an early drop off option from 9am) on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th May and is open to children aged 4-11 years. The Little Woodies celebrated World Bee 🐝 Day today with a Fun Fact Bee Trail around the woodland, a nectar and pollen collecting game and bee 🐝 and ladybird 🐞 tic tax toe.
