PSV Driver Required

We're looking for an additional driver to join our small team working out of our Sunderland depot.

Requirements:
- Full Cat D License
- Valid DCPC
- Valid Tacho Card

You will be required to safely operate PSV minibuses and coaches on varied work including schools and private hire.
A smart appearance, friendly character, and ability to undergo a satisfactory EDBS is a must.
Hours are variable based around weekday school times.
This is a TERM TIME ONLY position with a minimum of 16 hours per week.
There is other work available, if required, to increase hours, including out of term time, weekend and evening.

£15 per hour, paid monthly (PAYE).
Paid breaks, holiday & pension entitlement.

Due to new contracts this year we're looking for additional drivers to join our team.

Minimum of 16 hours during college term time.
Potential of more hours and other work out of term time if wanted.
Must have D1 license, full D license preferred.
Up to date CPC card, we can assist with this if you don't have a valid one.
Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS, funded by us.

Thank You to Dawdon Youth & Community Centre for letting us help you out today.

We were kept busy around the community to deliver kids Rainbow Activity Packs, all provided free of charge by the fantastic staff and volunteers at the Community Centre.

Offer of Assistance.....

Are you, or do you know, any local charitable organisation that could benefit from our help?

Are you self isolating and in need of essential items?

Due to the current situation, all vehicles are currently parked up and unused and I feel they could be put to good use within our community.

I’m posting this to see if we can help any community/charitable/non-profit organisation in any way.

We have 16 seat minibuses, with driver, that can be used for:-

-Food Bank deliveries and collections
-Collections and deliveries of pharmacy and medical supplies
-Assistance with essential item deliveries for vulnerable and self-isolating
-Any other community project, or involvement, that requires transportation

Unfortunately we will be unable to transport general-public passengers, unless they are Key Workers to/from a place of work or required to attend a medical appointment.

If you feel we can assist in any way, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to help however we can.

There will be NO CHARGE for this, we're offering these services completely free to help out in times of need.
We have a limited amount of PPE, gloves and masks, for me and the drivers to minimise any potential cross contamination risk.

I have taken the sensible decision to take all vehicles off the road in light of the current Coronavirus Pandemic.

This is to ensure that social distancing can be achieved and to assist in minimising the risk of unnecessary spreading of this virus. This will help to protect our brilliant drivers, vulnerable groups and members of the public.
Not to mention keeping my own family safe.

Byron Travel will be back as this temporary closure will be reviewed when further advice is received from Government.

We have already contacted our customers who have placed bookings with us that are due to take place within the next 8 weeks.

For any other customers who would like to cancel, or reschedule, their booking please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

All deposits can either be held against any future bookings or refunded in full with no penalty.

I will still be able to provide limited service to transport key workers to/from their place of work at reduced rates. I'm a great believer in providing support to these keys workers including our armed forces, emergency services and NHS.

Stay safe everyone and we shall see you on the other side to provide you with a first class Minibus and Coach hire service.
