The train now stood at Platform 1 is the 10:45 service to…. Wareham! 🚈 2023 Announcement!

That’s right, we are pleased to announce regular services to Wareham Station from Swanage, Harmans Cross, Corfe Castle and Norden are returning for the 2023 season. Trains will be running 4 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with the first services starting on April 4th and running until September 10th (excluding certain special events).

These services will utilise our lovingly restored heritage 117 DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) and single 121 Diesel unit. With these running alongside our steam services throughout the year and a regular service to Wareham station provided by South Western Railway, there hasn’t been an easier way to visit us for a fix of Steam and Diesel action.

Hi Folks, We hope that you are all well, thanks for coming back to see us.
Swanage is in tier 2 and welcomes visitors, the lights are up in the High st and Swanage railway are running the most wonderful light covered trains.

We must say a huge thank you to the Bournemouth-Swanage Motor Road & Ferry Co (Sandbanks Ferry) for donating a book of ferry passes to our community palliative care nurse Josie, who covers the Isle of Purbeck. 🛳 😘

The ferry company chose Forest Holme as its Charity of the Year and made the lovely goodwill gesture to make Josie's commute easier, as she usually has to drive the long way round. 👏❤️
