Showing age is just a number, Bill jumped out and opened all 19 gates on the safari!

Loved taking this amazing 92 year old and her family on a Dorset Safari today.

Cecilly has lived in Swanage for a number of years. Today we turned back the clock, left the walking sticks behind and headed high up on the Purbeck Hills, drove along the Jurassic Coast and explored the views above and around Corfe Castle in our amazing Land Rover Defender.

Cecilly and her family loved Helen’s homemade Dorset Apple Cake, oh and a glass of bubbly on top of the Purbeck Hills🥂 😊

Age and mobility should not be a barrier to enjoying this incredible county!

We have absolutely loved the month of June, taking some amazing people out on a Dorset Safari over the Purbeck Hills!

The youngest was 8 and wow did they love the Dorset Safari treasure hunt trying to spot things like the Lulworth Skipper butterfly or a burnt out tank.

The eldest was an incredible woman of 80 years young (along with her 63 & 62 year old daughters), who loved the challenge of opening one of the many gates along the safari route, almost as much as she loved her chilled glass of prosecco overlooking Corfe Castle.

But what everyone would agree is how lucky we are living here with such amazing views and incredible places to see.

Thanks to all of our Dorset Safari adventurers for being such a delight to take out on safari. I hope we see you again for another safari soon!

This afternoon we took a break from our safaris to join a guided walk over the Studland heath and dunes with Amy from the National Trust.
Such a brilliant guided walk - Amy was so interesting and knowledgeable.
Pleased we saw a stunning male Sand Lizard scurry across the path right in front of us🦎 😊

Follow in the footsteps of the Springwatch team by joining one of our guided walks. 🦎🐜🦋🐦Leaving Knoll Beach Office on Mon 12th & Thu 15th June, We have two walks per day 11am & 2pm lasting around an hour . We’ll explore some of the habitats featured and give tips on how to spot the tell-tale signs of dune wildlife. 🤞 for sightings of sand lizards, dartford warbler and heath tiger beetles. We are now recruiting for exceptional individuals looking for seasonal work this summer in Swanage and local area.

You must be friendly, positive and outgoing, with the ability and confidence to engage with potential new customers and generate leads for Dorset Safari.
