Just a heads up for those of you who follow Green Man. I no longer work for Vertex after 20 years. So I am now scrambling around for work! So if you know of anyone who, for instance, needs PFPE inspections; maybe axe throwing trraining; Mantracking, and of course (non ERCA) ropes course training, then get them to contact me.

ERCA GENERIC RESCUE COURSE
Venue: Bowles (near Tunbridge Wells)
Dates: 29th May - 1st June, 2023

Vertex will be running the ERCA Generic Rescue Course at Bowles on the 29th May - 1st June. If you would like to attend this course then you will need to hold the ERCA Traditional High Ropes or ERCA Adventure Park Instructor Award.

The course will be a mixture of theory and practical and will cover:

Norms and ERCA Standards
Risk assessment
Emergency Plan
Environmental Influences
Self-belay and accessing techniques
Lowering of users ((Unaccompanied/ Passive Rescue)
Rescue of participants and instructors (Accompanied/ Active Rescue)
Evacuation of participants

In addition to the above required by ERCA, our course and manual covers topics like:

What is a rescue?
The best rescue is no rescue (rescue needs assessment)
Rescue scenario rehearsals and much more.
