What a week it has been for photography! I am thrilled to bits to have been able to shoot the aurora on home turf at long last. I don't think I ever thought I would photograph aurora at Corfe. The only down-side, is that I'll need to completely re-think my April Fool strategy now!

Today, we commemorate the liberation of the Falkland Islands 42 years ago. We remember the 255 British military servicemen who died in the conflict in 1982 and their bereaved families, and all those who came back physically and mentally injured. For over 40 years, the Army’s national charity has proudly supported Falklands veterans and we stand with them today as they remember their fallen comrades.

Wishing the Princess of Wales a full recovery and we look forward to seeing her back doing the job she excels in. Thinking of Royal Family at this difficult time with both the King and Princess Catherine suffering illness which the world has been speculating on, the British people will be supporting them throughout their treatment.

Join us in sending the very best wishes to the Princess of Wales, who has just revealed she is in the early stages of treatment after cancer was found in tests. Our thoughts are with all of the Royal Family during these very difficult times.

Friends, this is a beautiful, spectacular event, with the smell of Christmas trees all aglow with hundreds of twinkling lights, in the beautiful ancient church of St George’s in Langton. Refreshments and superb seasonal entertainment, all in the aid of charity, is available.
This is supported by many local organisations who decorate their tree to reflect who they are, Heroes Haven have supported this festival from the beginning and was one of the early recipients of funds raised.

Please find time, to pop up and take a look, you won’t be disappointed

Despite the rain, there was a brilliant turnout for the annual Remembrance Parade, Swanage knows how to put on a good show and Trustees from Heroes Haven was in the Parade with a wreath to lay at the War Memorial. Frank Roberts, the Parade Marshall is a Trustee, as is Steve Churchill who gave the Kohima Epitaph at the Church and War Memorial, Josie Walker a Naval veteran is another Trustee, laid the HH wreath, also in the Parade was two other Trustees, Jackie Olsen and Linda Welsh, sadly one of our longstanding Trustees, Lynne Connor was unable to attend, the first Parade she has missed since HH was formed, Lynne, you was missed.
