You'll hear tales of murder, superstitions, debauchery and ghosts that lurk in every alleyway, from the medieval past up until the mid 20th Century. Get ready to see Olde Swansea rise from the ashes of history! The Swansea In Gloom walking tour lasts approximately 90 m

inutes and covers just over one mile of gruesome tales. This isn't for the faint of heart, as some guests may find the content and locations distressing (!). But wait, there's more! A small donation from each tour will be made to Matt’s Café, a site of important historical interest, and now doing amazing work to help people in need. This is your chance to contribute to a great cause while experiencing a one-of-a-kind tour. Swansea In Gloom is run as part of a non-profit organisation, aiming to improve the places we live with small local initiatives including Swansea Library of Things and HQ Urban Kitchen Cafe/Bar. Great news

The wraps are starting to come off an historic Swansea building that’s being saved for future generations. The 138-year-old Palace Theatre building has been wrapped in protective covers for more than two years as the council continues to sensitively restore the structure. A restored entrance door ...

It’s a happy birthday to Dylan Thomas, who pops up occasionally on our Swansea In Gloom Walking Tours (not in person, you understand)

‘It was a cold white day in High Street, and nothing to stop the wind slicing up from the docks, for where the squat and tall shops had shielded the town from the sea lay their blitzed flat graves marbled with snow and headstoned with fences. Dogs, delicate as cats on water, as though they had gloves on their paws, padded over the vanished buildings.’

No. We’re not in the backstreets of Barcelona! We had a lovely early(ish) morning walk today with Swansea Council for Voluntary Service. Don’t forget - even though Halloween is sold out we still have a few walking tours with availability this month.
