The Academy of Creative Arts Ltd is a not for profit social enterprise that specialise in the provision of creative arts and media based education and training activities. Its primary social objective is to facilitate the development of creative arts and media within deprived communities across Wales, with a focus on breaking down the social barriers faced by such communities through facilitating,
encouraging, promoting and developing; social inclusion, digital inclusion, personal and professional development, community safety and health & well-being in a fun and stimulating way. These services include:
• Open access workshops
• Structured training and support
• Education and curriculum based courses
• Support, guidance and mentoring services
• Project development and delivery
The enterprise provides a range of soft outcome workshops and courses, as well as longer term projects that cover a wide spectrum of creative arts and media including;
• DJ’ing • Breakdancing / street dance
• VJ’ing (video DJ) • African drumming and percussion
• Music production • Parkour / free running
• Video editing • Graffiti
• Circus skills • Drama
We have a highly professional and qualified team of outreach workers and tutors, reinforced by a management team with experience of successful project and contract delivery in the private, public and voluntary sectors. This allows us to deliver the highest standards of service and care through workshops and lessons that engage young people in new forms of creative expression, while building opportunities for participants to move into further education, training or employment.
