This is Mumbles Lighthouse taken from the coastal path as you walk from Mumbles to Limeslade and on to Rotherslade and then to Langland . The views are amazing and if you are lucky you will see the seals and sea birds in the distance . There are cafes en route and places to swim . A perfect way to soak up the sights and scents of the salty air on a summers day.
The walk is circular from the cottage .
Come and wander and find the magic !

Hello , Pilton House Gower is filling up fast for the school summer holidays .
Lazy days at the beach , wild swimming and coastal walks are just a few minutes from the house with Mumbles Seafront and the Mumbles Pier just a 10 min walk away .
The cottage now has a woodburner and a fire pit. We have added a sofa bed in the lower ground floor sitting room which gives the flexibilty of a couple more guests staying . ( this will add £25 per extra person - max 2 extra - to cover the cost of laundry and cleaning )
The cottage sleeps 4 in two bedroom plus 2 on a sofa bed if you would like extra guests ( there is a £25 per person charge for extra guests over the 4- this is to cover the extra cleaning and laundry )
We allow up to 3 dogs to stay at the cottage .

The following dates are available as 4 night stays .....

July 22-25th Booked
July 28-31st-Booked .
August 5th - 8th Booked
August 19- 22nd Booked
Aug29th - Sept 1st available

Each stay is £520 inclusive if booked direct with us .

This is Langland Bay . 10-15 mins walk from the cottage . Perfect for swimming, surfing and Paddle boarding or Kayaking . Or Just relax with a coffee and cake or glass of wine at the Langland Brasserie - which is on this beach . There is also a car park .
Its blissful .

Re kindle your 80s memories or just come along for a fantastic 80s Retro Festival with some very iconic 80s bands and artists .
The cottage is available to book and its not far to Singleton Park. which is the venue for the Festival .

Hello, we have almost reached the end of January 2024 , the time has flown by .We hope you are all well and looking forward to planning your holidays and stays at Pilton House Gower We have been busy at the cottage and its almost ready to welcome our first Guests of 2024 .
The Woodburner is ready and waiting to make you cosy and relaxed and we have slightly changed the kitchen space to let in more lovely light by creating a breakfast bar area.
To start the season we are offering the cottage for all nights between February 5th and March 19th at a direct booking price of £100 per night . Minimum stay of 2 nights .
(The usual fee for cleaning and for up to 3 dogs will remain the same per stay)

As I sit in my cosy kitchen watching the wind and rain outside I am reminded just how much I love snuggling up in cosy clothes and heading to the beach to feel the wind , watch the waves and breathe the scents of a winter beach . Then back to the warm of the kitchen for a mug of hot chocolate . The best kind of day .

We are offering winter weekend stays at the cottage - for 2 nights - Friday 3pm check in to Sunday 3pm check out - for £295 inclusive .
Sleeps 4 or 5 if needed plus up to three dogs.

Bee-utiful on a bee-utiful day!

With the sun shining and a lovely warm/hot day, the only "drizzling" we want now is for a tub of Joes Ice Cream Mumbles , a jar of that , and a teaspoon - or larger! - to make day absolutely complete!

Camarthen ham is a deliciously unique cured ham with a deep and rich salty flavour.

Based in Carmarthen market, the Rees family has been producing this ham for three generations. The family fable is that when the Romans came to Wales they stole the recipe, took it back to Italy, and renamed it Parma ham!

An exceptionally succulent local alternative to parma or serrano ham. This is a real must-try for all charcuterie lovers.

Although originally posted a week ago by The Gower Dog Trainer and Walker , the following is as relevant today, tomorrow and in the future as it was during the past week, so please take note of all mentioned, and keep your dog or dogs' as safe as can be in this still hot (and very thirsty) weather! Your dogs' will really appreciate you even more ('though whether they'll reciprocate with an ice-cold beer, an ice-cream, or anything similar we cannot guarantee!!!)

⚠️❗️Weather Warning❗️⚠️

The next week is going to be hot. Please look after dogs in this heat. It can easily be fatal.

Here's some tips on how to keep them cool:

🐾Do NOT exercise them in heat. They will not die from not being exercised but may very well die from heat stroke. Particularly the Brachycephalic breeds (short snout). Instead choose parts of the day which are cooler early mornings and late evening walks are best, try to pick walks with plenty of shade like the woodlands or if your dog likes a splash and a swim why not choose a walk where they can access water to cool off.

🐾Ensure all your animal has shelter or shade if possible.

🐾Constant access to clean, fresh water is an absolute must.

🐾Provide a paddling pool for your dog but keep it in the shade.

🐾Provide frozen enrichment toys such as stuffed Kongs

🐾If you think your dog may be suffering from heat stoke then you need to act fast. Cool the patient with cold water all over as soon as possible and call a veterinarian.

🐾Know the warning signs of heat stroke

Please keep yourselves and animals safe in the coming heat. Don’t underestimate the toll it can have on pets!!

June is just perfect here - the beaches are quiet and the sea is warming up and beautifully clear - we are swimming every day , it’s the perfect summer month for a perfect holiday of rest and relaxation . This beach is Langland Beach ,10mins from the cottage .We have availability in June - a new fire pit in the courtyard for those summer evenings outside and the comfiest beds you have ever slept in it would be lovely to see you . ...and just to think that when Marcel Le Corgi was but just a youngster, his journey began with a holiday at - and just look at him now! 🐕🐾🐾👑
