Coop Travel Conference: Paphos, Cyprus – Part 2!

Day one of our Coop Travel conference got off to a flying start as Katy, Claire M, and Julie jetted off from East Midlands Airport with Jet2. The flight was smooth, the atmosphere lively, and we were treated to a very tasty all-day breakfast onboard – a great way to kickstart the trip! The crew kept us entertained with lots of fun and games, making the journey a memorable one.

Upon landing in sunny Cyprus, we were whisked away on a short tour of Old Paphos. The charming, winding cobbled streets gave us a taste of the area’s history and character. We then explored Kato Paphos, a vibrant part of the city where a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants are set against the picturesque backdrop of the harbour – perfect for a sunset stroll.

Our home for three nights was the beautiful Athena Royal Beach Hotel, where we were lucky enough to stay in sea view rooms. Waking up each morning to the sound of the waves and witnessing breathtaking sunrises over the Mediterranean was simply fantastic. For December, the weather was a real treat, allowing us to enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace each morning – a wonderful way to start the day. A leisurely stroll along the seafront before work began was the perfect mix of relaxation and inspiration.

The conference itself was a huge success. We had the opportunity to meet with a variety of travel partners and suppliers who shared insights into what’s new and exciting for 2025 and beyond. From sun-soaked escapes to cultural adventures, there’s so much to look forward to for our customers.

Our return journey was a little more eventful, as Storm Darragh gave us a bumpy ride home! However, our brilliant Jet2 pilot handled the conditions superbly, landing us safely to a well-deserved round of applause from everyone onboard.
