Our lovely guests stayed during the explosive Storm Darragh and left us a lovely review 🥰
Beautiful peaceful cottage for a relaxing holiday. Very clean with all the amenities for a home away from home. Liz was proactive in communicating and a left a lovely welcome kit of tea, juice and cookies.
The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and kitchen had everything required to cook a meal for a family. The weather was bad so we ended up spending a lot of time inside but the garden was clean and the hot tub was the highlight.
Will highly recommend the cottage and will surely plan another trip in the future.

If you are staying with us over the festive period then Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market is a must see! Read about this event and more in our most recent blog post https://www.whitepostcottages.co.uk/blog/four-of-the-best-local-christmas-markets-and-events-near-wellington-somerset

Christmas 2024 gets underway this week with the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market opening on Friday 15 November.

It’s just one of a number of fabulous festive events over the next few weeks in the lead up Christmas.

For many people the Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market is the go-to event in the build up to the big day.

With less than six weeks until Santa comes down the chimney, the Cathedral Christmas Market is a great place to find that perfect gift.

Market goers can explore over 100 festive chalets festooned with fairy lights, take in the wonderful Christmas spirit and pick up a gift or two for Christmas Day.

The Market runs from Friday 15 November until Sunday 15 December and this year there will be a a new area in the Cloister Garden, hosting independent traders. Entry to the Cathedral itself will be by donation throughout the period of the Christmas Market.

Elsewhere in the city there’s nowhere better to experience the magic of Christmas than at the Exeter Corn Exchange, with Peter Pan as this year’s family pantomime.

Pan flies into the City Council-run venue from 14 December until 1 January and tickets are already gone on sale on the Corn Exchange website www.exetercornexchange.co.uk/whats-on/peter-pan/

Elsewhere, Cinderella takes to the Exeter Northcott and there are other Christmas themed shows at the Barnfield Theatre and Exeter Phoenix.

When it comes to sparkle, InExeter have provided this year’s Christmas lights in the city and the lights go on to coincide with the first day of the Christmas Market. Look out for the return of Exeter’s giant bauble, plus a new light up arch on the High Street.
