Not Just Travel held their annual conference for 2025! We heard from Dame Irene Hays - co-founder of Hays Travel Agent with her late husband, John Hays.

Yesterday, was a long packed day with many guest speakers along with NJT co-founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison.

We heard of 2024 achievements and the growth visions for 2025! A lot of company announcements were made to support our roles in booking your holidays! Very excited moving forwards and working alongside such fantastic people and suppliers!

The evening was a gala and awards night where we spent time chatting, laughing and dancing together with fellow NJT colleagues/Travel Consultants! The people make this such a special company to be a part of! ❤️

As a travel consultant, I would never advise clients going to Lapland until mid December onwards. It’s cheaper earlier in the season for a reason! At an expensive risk too!

Operators are unable to ‘guarantee’ snow like they’re unable to guarantee sunny hot weather in the summer. Weather extremities are happening and that includes snow in Lapland. Please research before spending thousands or contact a travel agent for advice!!

As seen on the news, Storm Darragh is approaching UK. The following has been sent out by Tui. If you are due to fly from Exeter, Cardiff or Bristol then please check updated local news and the airport guidelines before travelling. Stay safe!

I’VE SEEN STORM DARRAGH IN THE NEWS – HOW WILL IT AFFECT MY HOLIDAY?

We're keeping a close eye on the UK weather and Storm Darragh. The Met Office say conditions may be severe in some parts of the UK over the next few days. Although we plan to operate as close to schedule as possible, we anticipate some disruption (Cardiff to Alicante).

Please check if your journey to the airport is affected and maybe consider allowing extra travel time or making alternative arrangements if necessary and we’ll be in touch with you directly if anything changes with your flight.
