🤖 Get ready for Robot inspired activities at the Museum of Somerset! 🤖

This Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday we are joined by Taunton's Player Ready. They will be setup with some laptops for children 7 and over to enjoy programming and creating their own time travel experience within Minecraft.

Experiment creating a craft that moves! Create a model hand and wiggle its fingers then see if you can make a card dog that walks by itself.

Check out the intergalactic drawing table and be inspired while surrounded by 60 years of Doctor Who art 🎨, regenerate as the doctor in our dressing up area 🧣then snap a selfie 📸 with a Dalek in front of the TARDIS jungle. Plus adventure through time and space and help to save the world with our new time travel trail. Unlock the secret code and win a prize! 🍬

⏰ The museum is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 - 5:00 pm with family activities Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
Activities £2 each and trail £1 each.
Entry to the museum is FREE with a £5 suggested donation.

A day of Family Funday in the wonderful French Weir Park.

This SUNDAY 25th August 2024

They have a wide variety of things to do planned, including on the water activities with TASCC and Snaopy SUPs, workshops with Fizz Pop Science, lovely arts and crafts to buy, hotdogs and refreshments, outdoor activities with the Woodland Play Centre, storytelling with Clive Pig, live entertainment, kick boxing with Blaze, activities with Taunton Rowing Club, large games, circus skills, boules, a raffle with fantastic prizes, and much more!

If coming by car, please use the car parks at Wood Street or Tangier.

Most stalls are cash only

Don’t miss our NEW Sunflower Walk!

Stroll through our vibrant sunflower meadow and pick your own blooms, then continue to the end of the meadow to explore our restored 17th Century Water Garden, a rare historical gem among the few left in the country.

Entry is £5 per group and includes five ‘pick your own’ sunflowers—please bring your own secateurs. No booking needed, just pay at our Ticket Office upon arrival.

Open daily from 10:30am to 4:30pm (last entry at 4:00pm), while sunflowers last!

Don’t miss our Fun Dog Show next Sunday, 18th August!

Enter your furry friend in our Fun Dog Show for just £2 per category, with entries available at the Ticket Office on the day.

Alongside the Dog Show, we’ll also have a canine agility course by Hoopers (10am to 1pm), on-site dog photography by Studio 27, a variety of stalls, family activities, lawn games and delicious food and drink.

Plus, all Dog Show ticketholders will receive FREE admission to our stunning gardens, historic house and contemporary art gallery!
